Seek the rest of God. Rest from sins. Ceasing from sin is not a work, but is rest. The heretic says “you are teaching works.” No. I am teaching rest. Did Jesus do work by not sinning? or did he have divine rest? He had divine rest. He calls us also to rest, saying in Matthew 11:29-30 “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find **rest** unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
