JAMES RICHTER:
Sorry for the times when my words that comes like harsh shards i throw at you for my zeal to my God and His Written Word…but i am praying for you that through your testing and study of the bible that you will be later be convinced that indeed it is sharper than a two edged sword…

we are all precious in the eyes of God..whatever opinions and thoughts have been gathered within our hearts… right or wrong!

In my country there is a phrase “Higit sa lahat ay tao”that gives a thought…it connotes that between the Laws of God and the life of a man, the life of man is more important than all those Laws…some may again accuse me for this…but it blends with what Jesus said, Go and know what this word meaneth? I will have mercy and not sacrifice….The Law of God was created for man’s good…would now those Laws created for his good result to his death? So we see there is no difference at all, for all have sinned and God is extending His abounding grace toward all! He had extended it to me too who am not worthy at all of his mercy …despite my being an idiot,,,a fool…a wretched sinner..garbage…He gave me His mercy….so I can always walk charitably with even you that may somewhat differ with my cherished beliefs….thanks James R…for your understanding and charity toward me…what you plant you harvest….the charity you gave me had also began to grow…

WILDERNESS OF PARAN IN……SAUDI ARABIA OR PALESTINE?
An alternate viewpoint of the location of ‘The wilderness of Paran’ is in what is today Saudi Arabia not Palestine. Cf. Kamal Salibi ‘The Bible came from Arabia’.

THE THEORY
After the Babylonian captivity, it seems, the Jews were returned to the wrong place. These immigrants to Palestine might have renamed sites after the old homeland. After a 70 year captivity there would not be many that would remember much about their homeland.

Deut 1:1 These be the words which Moses spake unto all Israel on this side Jordan in the wilderness, in the plain over against the Red sea, between PARAN, and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Dizahab.

QUESTION: Isn’t the Jordan a river?

ANSWER: The Jordan River, although never actually described as a “river” in the Hebrew text, actually means the great West Arabian Escarpment , the Sarawat Mountains in Saudi Arabia. Water ran down and along the escarpment.

When one sees the Jordan River it would not necessarily be a great feat to cross it. However the escarpment would be a great feat to cross.

THE ANTI-KAMAL SALIBI VIEW (OUR BIBLE MAPS ARE RIGHT)
One may note that the reverse of what Salibi was saying was right. A Jewish population was in the Arabian area. They might have renamed sites after the old homeland. Names are repeated several times even within Arabia (there are, he tells us, five Hebrons in this area).

EXAMPLE: Swedish immigrants to the U.S.A. in the late 1800s named a town Gothenburg. The terrain reminded them of the original Gothenberg in Sweeden. While the U.S.A. town is named Gothenburg and is occupied by Swedish people, that does not make it the original Gothenburg.

Thank you to TUICHE’S for his input. Cf. Isaiah 38:8 “The Case of The Sundial of Ahaz.”
