James R:
After all we discuss i want to share to you something in connection to all the seeming contradiction and confusion we are in…

“Contradiction if well understood and managed can spark off the fires of invention. Orthodoxy whether of the right or of the left is the graveyard of creativity.”-Chinua Achebe (1930- )

Some wonder why God made germs…why he put satan and his demon here with us…or in the garden or why he spoke in parables or to some He seems harsh…….the answer?

To make us creative us children of the Creator! To give us experience through our struggle to seek after the truth in the challenging world of flesh and blood…so we that we that are called out- may be found faithful and true-”the REAL DEAL” who when Jesus comes as King will themselves rule and teach people..who could sympathize with all that they are going through or have gone through…

TIUCHE : Meanings of words do change over time. Today people associate the word ‘bible’ with the holy scriptures and not with an ancient deity from and Egyptian city. It is not necessarily wrong to call the scriptures ‘Holy Bible’ as most people identify that term with the scriptures.

It is interesting how the post-Constantine era church would combine the ancient pagan gods into Christianity. Even naming the ‘official cannon’ of scriptures after the city of ‘The Lady of the Biblos’. A tradition that continues unto this day.

I verified your post…the Lady of Biblos is also the Phoenician Astharti..Easter…Astar…Star….Sun….

I have noted once here in our nation how all corporate businesses have a sign of the SUN (star) in their advertsiement from coca Cola with the sun drinking Coke, to 7 up Fido dico trying to lasso the sun because of the heat…even on movie award they termed it as the Star “Araw” Award! They decorate every window here every December with Star Lantern (Parol)…yeah the whole world lies in the power of the wicked one…and would you believe they celebrate the Sun Birthday every Dec. 25 by renaming it as the Birth of Jesus?

I told my friends about it.One told me i was just paranoid.. but I told them that this was how the investors on their businesses would know where their investment are being invested…because of the Star…since the “Stars” signs had proliferated here in our place…we are becoming more mired and mired in poverty…some businessmen are treating the people like slaves making them work seven days a week w/o rest…people die of hunger here…not quickly but slowly….your right James…but i beseech you to believe in God’s Word the Holy Scripture!

You got a point…and i agree with you…okay let us not call the Holy Scriptures as the Holy Bible anymore…

Let us just call it the Holy Scriptures which i believed you believe to be the Word of God!

TIUCHE: What does the words ‘Holy Bible’ mean? Who was the ‘Lady of the Biblos’. Notice no where in the scriptures does it ever refer itself as the ‘Bible’. Where did this term come from? Let’s critically think this out!

WHERE DID THE TERM ‘HOLY BIBLE’ COME FROM?
‘Holy Bible’ is a man made term. It means literally ‘Satan’s grad-daughter’. The scriptures gained the term ‘Bible’ in the 4th century.

LADY OF THE BIBLOS THE GRAND DAUGHTER OF APOLLO
The Bible is named for the city called ‘Biblos’. The city provided the papyrus to make scrolls that the scriptures were written on. The ‘Lady of the Biblos’ was worshiped there.

In the Greek pantheon of gods the ‘Lady of the Biblos’ was Apollo’s grand-daughter. Cf. Microsoft Encarta.

APOLLYON = APOLLO + ON
Rev. 9:11 ” And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name APOLLYON.”

Apollo is the mightiest of the pagan gods. ON is the Egyptian name for the Sun or the Sun-God.

This term APOLLYON in Strongs is another word for SATAN. Thus Satan’s Grand daughter is the ‘Lady of the Biblos’. Christians ignorantly call her HOLY BIBLE.

FALSE SCIENCE and VAIN BABBLING

There are people who would elevate false science than the Holy Bible, they think their logical thoughts are quite orderly. They cite writings of Scientist & other men to oppose the Words of God!Instead of lifting up the Word of God, they try to topple it down.

There are people who think there talk is much more important than God’s Word or that their ideas is much more important than teaching people to obey the principles of the Laws of God…

To talk is okay, if we talk sense…but the carnal man does not know that his conversation is vain and according to the walk of the fathers…(1 Peter 1:18)..these are the many unruly and vain talkers..vain jangling is their forte…clanging cymbals (Titus 1:10 & 1 Cor. 13:1)…

We should bridle our tongues if not our religion is vain (James 1:26).
