To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

One Bible Commentary on 2 Corinthians 5: 19
1

We should be very happy in the times we live. God’s kingdom is being expanded every day. This verse reminds us that man and God have been reconciled through Jesus Christ. His obedience to death on the cross was the perfect solution for man to be reconciled with God. This solution was perfect and absolute. There is no defect in this reconciliation. Millions are being saved every year. Countless acts of goodness take place every day. God is not angry with us at all. In fact, he’s in a pretty good mood. Romans 5 even states that we have been saved from his wrath and judgment. God does not hold any ill feelings toward us. The angel announced to the shepherds the night Christ was born, as far as God was concerned, He has peace with Earth and good will toward men. He has felt this way for over 2000 years.
