The WAR had caused famines everywhere and the hungry men literally ate anything that could nourish their weakened bodies…THEY ATE clean and unclean things to survive …clothes, leather boots, papers, banana peels, banana trunks, locusts, frogs, lizards, rotting carcasses. They boiled stones with moss and drink the broth; And not a few died from eating wrongly…so some of the wise and experienced ones formed a committee to make a manual of the lists of the foods that they maybe able to eat safely; but the one causing the wars and his dupe followers tried to imprison and destroy the manual…but the manual survive…and thus the manual was made and distributed in millions…think what this means to you o believers in God!

Daniel 7:25 He will speak against the Most High and oppress his …
The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time. … and he will intend to make alterations in times and in law; and they will be given into his …

Revelation 13:7 He was given power to make war against the saints …
It was also given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them …

Amos 8:11 “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD

1 Samuel 3:1 The boy Samuel ministered before the LORD under Eli. In those days the word of the LORD was rare; there were not many visions.

2 Chronicles 15:3 For a long time Israel was without the true God, without a priest to teach and without the law.

Psalm 74:9 We are given no miraculous signs; no prophets are left, and none of us knows how long this will be.

Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but blessed is he who keeps the law.

Isaiah 30:20 Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them.

Ezekiel 7:26 Calamity upon calamity will come, and rumor upon rumor. They will try to get a vision from the prophet; the teaching of the law by the priest will be lost, as will the counsel of the elders.

Hosea 2:3 Otherwise I will strip her naked and make her as bare as on the day she was born; I will make her like a desert, turn her into a parched land, and slay her with thirst.
Micah 3:6 Therefore night will come over you, without visions, and darkness, without divination. The sun will set for the prophets, and the day will go dark for them.

It’s ironic that we should get this kind of testimonial about the Bible from one of the pseudepigraphals!

WHAT IS THE REASON THAT A MAN SHOULD BE OBSESSED IN PROVING THAT THE SCRIPTURES ARE NOT INSPIRED?

While the Holy Scriptures claim to be inspired of God here comes a man trying to prove that it is to the contrary. When someone post a comment to encourage others in their faith in the Sacred Scriptures he tries with all his might to destroy that person. While the scriptures says that God so love the World that He gave His son….the subversive is at his wit ends trying to prove that
“It is Yahweh’s intention to carry out one genocide after another( see his comment on Deuteronomy 7:2 on vbvbc).

It is my belief that he does not want the scriptures to be inspired because if it is inspired then God exist!

GOD EXIST! GOD EXIST!GOD EXIST!That truth tortures him!

Did he commit a sin which he thinks God will never forgive? In the littleness of his mind he might think that God will never forgive him…but the Scripture declares to us THAT GOD MERCIES ENDURES FOREVER! God will forgive us if we are willing to humble ourselves before Him! For God is not willing that anyone should perish but that all should have eternal life and good relation with Him. Could God afford such BIG MERCIES? Of course God can, and is able and it is His will to extend mercy and not sacrifice anybody to His enemy which is the devil and death.

THE WORD OF GOD AS TOOLS OF EVERY CHRISTIANS TO USE

1. AS A WEAPON -HAMMER, A SWORD & A FIRE FOR BUILDING & DESTROYING

Micah 2:7 Do not my words do good to him whose ways are upright?

Jeremiah 23:29.Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

Hebrew 4:12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

2 Corinthians 10:4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.

2 Corinthians 10:5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Jeremiah 5:14 Therefore this is what the LORD God Almighty says: “Because the people have spoken these words, I will make my words in your mouth a fire and these people the wood it consumes.

Jeremiah 20:9 But if I say, “I will not mention him or speak any more in his name,” his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.

Hosea 6:5 Therefore I cut you in pieces with my prophets, I killed you with the words of my mouth; my judgments flashed like lightning upon you.

2. AS MILK AND FOOD TO MAKE AS LIVE & GROW SPIRITUALLY

1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby

Jeremiah 15:16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy
and rejoicing of mine heart…

Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.

Deuteronomy 8:3 He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD

Psalm 19:10 they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb.

3. AS LIGHTS UNTO OUR WAY AND SHILED TO GUIDE AND COVER US AWAY FROM DESTRUCTION

Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

2 Peter 1:19 And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

Proverbs 6:23 For these commands are a lamp, this teaching is a light, and the corrections of discipline are the way to life,

Psalm 19:8 The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.

Proverb 30:5 Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.

4.AS TREASURES THAT WE SHOULD KEEP IN PREPARATION FOR THE REAL LIFE

Proverbs 2:4 if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hid treasures;

Psalm 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

Psalm 19:10 They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold;

5. AS A CLEANSING AGENT TO CLEANSE US OF SINS

John 15:3 Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken to you.

Ephesians 5:26 to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word., .

6. AS INCORRUPTIBLE SEED TO ENABLE US TO BE BORN AGAIN

1 Peter 1:23Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and endure forever

7. AS SPIRIT AND LIFE

John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Ponder what this means for the Holy Scriptures and you the believers:

“We confess that the Pope has power of changing Scripture and of adding to it, and taking from it, according to his will.” — Roman Catholic Confessions for Protestants Oath, Article XI, (Confessio Romano-Catholica in Hungaria Evangelicis publice praescripta te proposita, editi a Streitwolf), as recorded in Congressional Record of the U.S.A., House Bill 1523, Contested election case of Eugene C. Bonniwell, against Thos. S. Butler, Feb. 15, 1913.

PONDER THIS LOVERS OF FREEDOM GIVEN THROUGH GOD SPIRIT- Where the spirit of the Lord is there is liberty and the Words i speak to you they are spirits and they are life…look at this:

“The belief in the Bible as the sole source of faith is unhistorical, illogical, fatal to the virtue of faith, and destructive of unity.” — The Catholic Encyclopedia, Volume XIII, “Protestantism”, Section III A - Sola Scriptura (“Bible Alone”), Nihil Obstat, February 1, 1912 by Remy Lafort, D.D., Censor, Imprimatur. John Cardinal Farley, Archbishop of New York.

A WORD OF some WISDOM FOR THOSE WHO STUDY THE BIBLE
Here is an excerpt from :
Storyhttp://gracethrufaith.com/selah/eternal-security/osas-the-whole-story/

Those(the verses) that stress belief, explain the permanent nature of our bond with God, and are directed toward eternity are Union verses. Those that involve grace and faith are Gift verses. Those that require work and are directed at the quality of our lives on Earth are Fellowship verses, and those that require work and involve eternal rewards are Prize verses.

When you view Scripture from this perspective, all of the apparent contradictions disappear and you no longer have to wonder why God seems to be saying one thing here and something different there. The issue becomes one of correctly identifying the focal point of the particular passage you’re looking at. Determine the context by reading verses around it, and assign it to one of the four categories.

All scripture in the Holy Bible is inspired of God. This means any claims to revelation outside the Holy Bible is not inspired of God because it is not of God.

The Holy Bible is the standard of believers in salvation through Jesus Christ. Doctrines are taught from the Holy Bible exclusively. It is used to correct others who profess to believe in salvation through Jesus Christ (believers). The Holy Bible may also be used to instruct and to receive instruction from it. The end result of studying the Holy Bible is to learn God’s point of view (2 Tim. 3:16).

Scot & Don:
Did I say that the warning of God from adding or subtracting from His Word comes mainly from Revelation 22:18-19? The warning is a common sense application of those warning from Revelation 22:18-19:Deuteronomy 4:2 and other verses. One verse I read warns:” Add not to His word lest thou be found a liar!” I cannot remember where I read it probably in proverbs.

I believe the book of Revelation was the last book written about 90 A.D.by John the beloved Apostle. Scholars may vary on their opinions on the authors or the times of writing. I donot care much for this…for they are men. What I care is whether each of the 66 books are really “sharper than adouble edged sword!” I have tested the 66 books and I can say they are indeed sharper…

Revelation 22:18-19 refer ONLY to the prophecy found in Revelation itself; NOT the entire Bible.

Just consider how much speculation and errant interpretations exist regarding Revelation compared to all other books in the Bible and it’s easy to see why this admonition was given. Just imagine how bad it might be if this admonition had NOT been given??

Dear Tiuche, thanks for your response. I don’t have a lot of time now, but may I remind you that the book of Revelations is not the last book of the Bible that was written! Most scholars believe that all of Johns other writings were written after Revelations and some think that also the books of Peter, Jude, the books of Timothy and the book of Titus were written later than Revelation…
So also the warning in Revelations “against subtracting or adding from the scriptures” doesn’t have to mean these 66 books!

Don:
When you say all scripture that includes all-whether lost(such as the book of Jasher -Joshua 10:13, book of the acts of Solomon -1 kings 11:41 & etc.) or found…whether to come forth yet or that which is already with us…when St. Paul wrote those words we know he was inspired by God…their books were just old testaments scriptures….in the writing of books there is no end…even the world could be filled with it(see Ecclesiates 12:12 & John 21:25).

The problem is not the availability of scriptures for in the dead sea scrolls were found many including many of the 66 books(Protestant) &/or 72 books(Catholic) of the Bible…even Apocryphal & Psuedepigrapha books …the problem is whether those are really inspired scriptures..that is the problem.

The 66 books had been tested by those in the faith that were before us…I for one doubted those 66 books…i was formerly a trivial reader, a HATER of God & the Bible…then now i am a believer….I really probe and prove the 66 books and have found them INSPIRED.. a THREAD OF CONVEYANCE connects these 66 books like chapters in a story despite the facts that about 40 people wrote them living in different times and different places…in fact I wrote about it in my book CONTROVERSIES, STORIES & SONGS ON THE BOOK OF BOOKS…although not available probably in your country…

Adding or subtracting from what we know as the Holy bible today would create problems…adding would create a danger that an added book might be uninspired…while subtracting from a proven 66 books would create other problems….so let it stay at 66 or as the Catholic had it at 72. 66 being their primary authority while the 66 as second in authority…watch it when someone tries to add or subtract from the 66 books….the Book start in the one Book Genesis, meaning Beginning and ends in one book the Revelation meaning the advance revealing of the future…God warns against subtracting or adding from that gathered 66 books…

I have a question:

In commentary no2 T says that “all scripture[s]” means “Old- and New Testament” In his opinion “All Scriptures” contain 66 books, thus The Bible as we know it today.

Problem: At the time the apostle Paul wrote these words to Timothy the Bible as we know it today didn’t exist (many books of The New Testament were not written yet) and probably he wasn’t aware that the letter in which he wrote these words became later part of what we nowadays call ‘The Bible’. So I doubt that “all scripture” equals “The Bible”, but I don’t know what Paul exactly meant with the term “all scripture”. Only The Old Testament? I hope someone can laminate me…

All Scriptures (meaning old Testament and New Testament Scriptures) is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for WHAT:
1. DOCTRINE;
2. REPROOF AND CORRECTION;
3. FOR INSTRUCTION FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS…
that the man of God be equipped….one problem is when a man of God claims that some parts of the scriptures cannot be relied upon, or is not inspired, or in error…this causes a toboggan slide toward the doubting of the whole canonized primary authority- the 66 books…
When a man of God says such thing as that I doubt if he understand the thread of conveyance running through the 66 books…framing the whole book into one!
Don’t say that because one verse or chapter, or a Bible Book does not go in consonance with what you think is the truth that you will now proclaim that such a scripture is flawed or in error. Remember that the Bible is the authority over us and not us over the Bible. If it is too shallow or too deep for you… leave it alone until the day you will appreciate the verse you got a problem with…don’t conclude that it is in error. You study it by not one view but by zooming on it, panning on it, viewing it a far, viewing it and studying it through every angle imaginable….
as AW Tozer said, Nothing than a whole Bible can make a whole Christian!”

God has communicated the TRUTH to the people of this world through holy men of God who spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.Read 2 Peter 1:20,21.
It is not correct to say that the Bible contains the Word of God.
The Bible is the Word of God.
