1. Our God is THE Sovereign King
a. All the people of the earth are nothing compared to him. He does as he pleases among the angels of heaven and among the people of the earth. No one can stop him or say to him, ‘What do you mean by doing these things?’ (Dan 4:35 NLT)
2. And after similar fashion
a. In a monarchial form of government
b. The word of the king is LAW
3. So when a king speaks
a. No one can question his word
b. And usually live to tell the tale
4. It would be a great lesson
a. For all of us including our children
b. To learn that the words
c. Of those in authority carry weight
d. And once decisions are made final
e. They are NOT subject to challenge
5. In a democratic republican form of government
a. If we do NOT like the way things are
b. We have proper channels
c. To which we may address our grievances
d. Including voting people out of office
6. But once a final decision is made
a. And all appeals are exhausted
b. Then it stands and we need
c. To obey or be ready
d. To face the consequences
