Charles: We are so far apart from each others in opinion- I believe the Bible as the Word of God while you do not-that is very clear.

Now, I ask you to tell as your HOPE- WHAT YOU GOOD FUTURE YOU THINK YOU HAVE BY THE DOCTRINE YOU WANT US TO BELIEVE! But instead you just tell us what you think happened here! Again, I repeat PLEASE TELL US WHAT HOPE YOU HAVE IN THE FUTURE-not only 20 years from now or 50 or 100 but in eternity-what is your hope that you want us to believe in your opinions? Tell us!

Ok, here’s what I learned from over a thousand postings here. People who claim to be devout believers are usually the ones with the least amount of faith. I came here because I had certain misgivings about the Bible, mostly in the manner of self-contradictions, and I was hoping for illuminated minds to guide me through them. This has not happened. The reactions I got were diverse:

A. There are actually a few illuminated minds here who understand the Bible. Some of these agree with me, others not so much, but, in general, they do not deny that the Bible is incosistent. They couldn’t ease my doubts because they had similar or other doubts of their own.

B. There are many who are in total denial and are not able to hear any doubts about the Bible being the undisputed Word of God. When confronted with challenges, these people tend to ignore realities and pursue their “innocence” by staying away from any argument. I have no problem with these people. God bless them.

C. Then there are others who are in equal total denial but they don’t stay quiet about it. Instead they are willing to misquote the Bible, lie about it, become angry and offensive, even claim divine intervention (lol!) - anything but admit the obvious. The worst of these is my self-labeled arch nemesis who went as far as invading my privacy, calling me names, and behave in exactly the opposite way of what a good Christian should. If people like Tiuche think they are going to heaven, they had better study the words of Jesus and ask his forgiveness.

At the end of the day, I think I did learn a lot here. It’s not exactly what I thought I would learn, but that’s real learning: accepting realities which you didn’t think were possible. In my case I thought it was impossible for people to deny a truth staring them in the face, but I found out that such people do exist.

I wish other people learned something from me, too. But, if not, that’s of course not my problem. I wish everybody well.

Charles: Alright, you are the only one right in here!No use of discussing things since no amount of reasoning could convince you that you are wrong! So tell us your hope!

No I don’t wonder at all, Tiuche. Confidence comes from logic and an open mind. Denial is a sad, sorry thing.

Charles: Of the six investigator of the Bible-Tractorman, SCott Dale, Roland G., Angel, me and you; do you not wonder you alone have a dissenting opinion that the Bible is inconsistent? While the Five of us including Taft, T Snow and others views that the bible is the Word of God w/o inconsistencies, you alone have concluded that it is fallible. And the very teacher that you say you believe in Jesus Christ tell You that the Scripture cannot be broken nor will it fail nor will it vanish-yet you keep on insisting on your own wrong conclusion!

Jesus says:
Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away’
Matthew 22:29 You do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass away from the law, till all things be accomplished.

While Jesus says these you want to say another thing! Are you a true believer? Nah, It is my own strong opinion that you are a fake!

Amswering Tiuche’s question in post 35:
If I was a stubborn-headed extremist unwilling to accept anything but what I want to believe, I would probably keep trying one angle after another so I don’t have to admit the truth. But if I was interested in the truth I would come to the logical conclusion that when two statements are in conflict at least one of them is more than likely to be false. And when this happens over and over again in the same set of books then I would consider myself a fool not to acknowledge a pattern of inconsistencies.

Charles: When I say “CHRISTIAN” readers I really mean it- meaning true Christians-believers in Jesus as the SPOKESMAN OF GOD-Jesus THE WORD OF GOD MADE FLESH- meaning they believe that Jesus live the PERFECT WORD of God PERFECTLY-no sin at all; do they believe you? For as you claim God gave no Word at all regarding His Will-but Jesus is His Word-His Messages to us!

And a good detective gathers all informations while a neophyte or a detective who is not after the truth- investigate haphazardly-thus never arriving at the Truth. If one part of the Bible say this and another part says that, what do you do as a good investigator? Do you conclude immediately? Of course not, you investigate all angle-every inch and corner of the king of Books!

Tiuche, this is not about what the majority thinks (post 33). The majority of people do not believe in Jesus. Does that matter? 500 years ago the majority of the people believed the sun revolved around Earth. Were they right? 2,000 years ago the majority believed in prophets.

Still I believe that if a newspaper said on page one that Michael Jackson poisoned himself to death and on page two that he jumped off a cliff and died, that newspaper’s reputation would be seriously damaged. The Bible’s reputation is likewise severely damaged with its many conflicting accounts.

Got you again, didn’t I, Tiuche? I imemdiately know you’re in trouble from the tone of your voice.

It’s like I said, Tiuche - like a newspaper saying on page one that Michael Jackson poisoned himself to death and on page two that he jumped off a cliff and died. That’s your Bible!
