One Bible Commentary on Acts 4: 11

1

When masons were building walls out of stone and not brick, they might try to place one in a certain place that was just too small. So, they would just toss it aside and go find another. But in the long run, that stone they threw away might just be put in one of the best spots on the wall.
The headstone!

And these religious leaders had rejected Jesus. They cast Him aside. But now God has highly exalted Him and given Him a name and a position above all others.

Like when Joseph’s brethren sold him into slavery. They thought they were rid of that pest, along with all his dreams of ruling over them. But little did they know that later on down the road a famine would come. They would have to go down to Egypt and buy bread to stay alive. But if they bought bread, guess who they’d have to bow before!
