1. Although the legs were made of iron
a. Indicating military strength
2. The feet and toes part iron and part clay
a. Partly strong
b. And partly weak
3. This APPEARS to indicate
a. The strength of Rome continues
b. But there is DIVISION
c. Within the ranks
4. This has lead many scholars
a. To wonder if perhaps
b. This is a revived Roman Empire
c. In its final “end times” form
d. Just before it is crushed (v34-35)
e. By the stone made without hands
5. This FINAL empire will have both
a. An imperial, military image
b. Mixed with a democratic element
c. Making it strong but brittle
d. Not as cohesive as the legs alone
