Was the Sanctuary cleansed in 1947? Certainly not, as we know. In fact, Israel got hold of Jerusalem in 1967! Alex is just giving some flashes from the Commentary from Dr. ADam Clarke. It’s difficult to get what he wants to convey.

interestingly,writing commentary for Daniel in 1825 A.D. Dr.Adam Clarke furnished the year of A.D.1947 in Daniel 12:12 as an important year with a prophetic outlook.

Actually 2300 years from B.C.334 brings us to A.D.1967!There is no zero year.Please see comments of Adam Clarke for Dan.12:12.He did not mention about A.D.1947 in Dan.8:14.He has mentioned it in connection with Dan.12:12.
