Ecclesiastes 1: 9 Commentary

The Wisest King who wrote the Book of Ecclesiastes won’t be amzed at airplanes, automobiles & etc. do you know why? Because during the time of Solomon, God had shown them FIERY CHARIOTS- chariots that fly in the air with more advance technology than our airplanes, autos & etc. And on medicines…the Laws of God on preventing & treating diseases, are high tech enough, and what more the mracles that God had shown the ancient those wonderful things.

What we ought to learn from the scripture is the betterment of our heart and not the bitterness we have against it. As one Christian sang:

I showed you my heart
I sang you my song…
In a minute or so I maybe gone
Here is what i have to say

ALL THAT MATTERS IN THIS LIFE BELOW
IS NOT WHAT YOU HAVE
OR HOW MUCH YOU KNOW
ALL THE WORLD KNOWLEDGE CAN MAKE LIFE SMART
BUT THE DIFFERENCE IS MADE IN THE HEART!

Proverbs 4:23;”keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”

Matthew 12:34 For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.

Matthew 15:18 But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man ‘unclean.

Matthew 15:19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.

We therefore beseech you as a man who believes in Jesus Christ be reconciled with the Scriptures…for everyone that rejects the stone that have become the cornerstone will be grounded to powder…God’s Word is Truth and it will not pass away!

Mr. Ritcher - The only narrow mindedness in view is of your limited knowledge of what this passage means, or the over-all meaning of the book of Ecclesiastes. First, Soloman wrote Ecclesiastes about human nature, not the advance of our limited transportation system. Have you checked the climb in the cost of a gallon of gas due to the greed of the system our limited transportation devices use.

You might consider biblical scholarship before you post your limited knowledge of a scripture. For example, who wrote the book (if known), what was the purpose of the book, the section of scripture, and finally the scripture meaning itself. Shalom.

EVEN HUMAN FOLLY REPEATS ITSELF…men mostly have failed to learn from history…despite the fact that the Holy Scripture is the history of the spiritual deeds & thinking of the people of the past and that of God…men in their folly fails to grasp what is necessary and important in it.

Human folly, the deceitfulness of his heart and even his repeated failure to learn from the written past…has now come to a point…where all his foolishness have amassed so that Jesus warned us that the above verse will not be applicable for such human blunder. Jesus foretells:

“For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the time nor ever shall be Matthew 24:21-22.

Men’s spirit have not progress in line with his physical technology…he has now in his hand the weapon of mass destruction…he has also through advances in techonology polluted and destroyed the earth…men are like apes with nuclear bombs in their hands…if we are to save the physical realm we must develop the spirit and character of men to a level of the mind of God!

“The utter destructiveness of war now blocks out this alternative. We have had our last chance. If we will not devise some greater and more equitable system, Armageddon will be at our door. The problem basically is theological and involves a spiritual recrudescence and improvement of human character that will synchronize with our almost matchless advances in science, art, literature, and all material and cultural developments of the past 2000 years. It must be of the spirit if we are to save the flesh.”

Christian have the mind of God, but the majority do not…so…

1. History constantly repeats itself
a. Mainly because humans act human
b. And not too much differently
c. From succeeding generations
2. There WERE wars in the past
a. There WILL be wars in the future
3. There WERE marriages in the past
a. There WILL be marriages in the future
4. There have been economic upturns and downturns
a. And there will be once again
5. There is nothing new
a. To the human experience at its core
6. Whatever has been experienced in the past
a. Will be experienced
b. By others after you
7. The entire panoply of human experience
a. Travels in an endless cycle
