Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions.

1. Why could Solomon NOT find
a. Either an upright man or woman
2. God made both Adam and Eve upright and just
a. But once the Fall occurred
3. Mankind now reflects his FALLEN nature
a. And carries out many wicked
b. And evil imaginations
c. Of his unregenerate heart (Rom 3:10-18)
4. We have REPLACED the Creator‘s point of view
a. Which God originally designed us to have
b. For our own benefit and protection
5. With a MAN-CENTERED point-of-view
a. Which seeks explanations of life
b. Through a fallen human perspective
c. Which finds its basis
d. In our OWN limited human understanding
6. Mankind no longer accepts the Word of God
a. And its explanations about life
b. Dismissing them as superstitious
c. Simplistic, irrelevant and trite
d. In a modern world of science
7. Man has chosen to look to the sciences
a. Like philosophy, psychology,
b. Anthropology and sociology
8. He seeks to use only his five senses
a. To explain why things
b. Are they way they are
c. And to JUSTIFY his THOUGHTS
d. As well as ACTIONS
9. Not only has man distorted the image of God
a. Into one of a “Cosmic kill-joy”
b. Or “absent-father” at best
10. But he has ALSO distorted his view of mankind
a. From one created in the image of God
b. Which should be treated with dignity and respect
c. To just an animal evolved from the primordial soup
d. The survival of the fittest
