5. The FIRST place to get wisdom
a. Is from God‘s Word
b. Not from the world
c. Such as TV talk shows
d. Where wisdom is often decided
e. By audience approval
6. God‘s Word provides both WARNING and REWARD
a. The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple; the statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be
desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them Your servant is WARNED, and in keeping them there is great REWARD (Ps 19:7-10)
7. Therefore we need to read, believe
a. And rely upon God‘s Word
b. Trusting God to illuminate it
c. And guide us with His Spirit
8. And if we LACK wisdom, run to God for it
a. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without
reproach, and it will be given to him (James 1:5)
