SCOTT DALE:
I am not a Modalism believer as I have posted for Tsnow in John 1:1 post 356 if you care to read it.
YOU STATED: *Do you see any significant connection between this verse and the bulk of Rev. chapter 5? If so, what is the primary connection?
MY ANSWER: my Lord Jesus Christ.
YOU STATED: *The “earnest” of our inheritance is the Holy Spirit. Briefly, in real terms, what specifically do you see the “inheritance” to be?
MY ANSWER: To be back with the GODHEAD; and to be a light to the New Earth; for the Bride is a part of the GODHEAD that shall rule from the New Heavens here on the New Earth. And by the way the New Heavens is DIFFERENT from the New Earth.
For we shall rule from the Heavenly Kingdom prepared for us before the foundations of the world. Just as it is stated throughout GOD’S HOLY WORD.
And by the way I can prove all this from the HOLY BIBLE which is GOD’S HOLY WORD.

Yes. I appreciate the brevity. We can always expound on our remarks but let’s see if we can build a foundation first. It may be hard; however, with your belief in modalism and my belief in the trinity.
I very much appreciate your comment about Eternal Tabernacles.

SCOTT DALE:
WOW… you can pick em. This is an awesome verse and I shall try to be as brief and to the point as possible.
Ephesians 1:14
14. Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
The earnest of our inheritance is the HOLY SPIRIT which is a down payment FOR the PREDESTINED BRIDE MEMBERS ( 2 Corinthians 5:5 ) and the Redemption of the purchased possession is our ETERNAL TABERNACLES MADE BY THE HANDS OF GOD and not this mortal flesh ( Romans 8:23 and Acts 20:28 ) which is for his PREDESTINED BRIDE MEMBERS ONLY. ( Romans 8:29-30 and 1 Peter 2:9 )
Was that short enough for you.

I will comment on this more fully when I have time, but this is one of the most significant escatalogical texts in the entire NT and is a key to understanding many things.

Scott Dale, Roland G.& anybody. Please comment:EARNEST MONEY =THE DEPOSIT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE INDIVIDUAL BELIEVERS what does this mean to ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED DOCTRINE?
EARNEST MONEY IS DEFINED AS:
1). A deposit made to a seller showing the buyer’s good faith in a transaction.
An earnest money deposit shows the seller that a buyer is serious about purchasing a property. When the transaction is finalized, the funds are put toward the buyer’s down payment. If the deal falls through, the buyer may not be able to reclaim the deposit. Typically, if the seller terminates the deal, the earnest money will be returned to the buyer. When the buyer is responsible for retracting the offer, the seller will usually be awarded the money.

2).An earnest payment (sometimes called earnest money or simply earnest, or alternatively a good-faith deposit) is a deposit towards the purchase of real estate or …(en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earnest_payment;)
And Art. 1482.OF THE Philippine civil code states: Whenever earnest money is given in a contract of sale, it shall be considered as part of the price and as proof of the perfection of the contract.
What does this mean to us believers in connection to our salvation?

The Holy Spirit was a “deposit” or “earnest” as described in v.14. This choice of words describe how a transaction is made. A deposit is a small part of purchase money given ahead of time to hold a purchase. The Holy Spirit given to God’s children is an assurance that they shall receive the full inheritance in heaven.

Thanks for answering my two questions. They tell me a little bit more where you are coming from; however, answer #1 completely misses the mark of the primary connection and answer #2, though very close, also misses.
I realize we will have differences, but I have no desire to debate the foundational differences. Without harmony at this basic level, there is little point in trying to build further understanding.
