Roland G.Me sick? LOL! A man immersed in the Word of God and doing and practicing what is not sin, you call that sick? When you say I am sick you are also calling King Solomon, King David, Abraham, Jacob and almost all the Patriarch as spiritually sick…You are the one who is sick and demonized and under the spell of Jezebel! Go back to your MAMA AND DRINK YOUR “BABERON”!

Tiuche (Post #13): Eph. 5:25 says to love your wife. Yet, you would take the Bible out of context, parade her in front of the congregation to get her to do what you want. And then threaten and insult her by telling her you want to marry another wife to “absorb her bad effects.”

When would your madness stop? Would it stop with wife #2? Wife #3? Wife #4? ….. Or, would you just keep marrying more wives to “absorb their bad effects!”

You are sick and need professional help.

Tiuche (Post #9): Why do you continue to promote polygamy and degrade women?

If Church discipline in Matthew 18:15-17 included husbands and wives all the churches in America would not have time to teach God’s Word. Each spouse would be too busy trying to embarrass their spouse in front of the congregation, not to mention the gossip, the maligning and destruction of the institution of marriage.

You need to submit yourself to the authority of a local Pastor Teacher and learn God’s Word.

Here is A PRINCIPLE TO FOLLOW WHEN A WIFE COMMITS A SERIOUS SINS

Moreover if thy wife in this case) shall trespass against thee, go and tell her fault between thee and her alone: if She shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy wife

But if SHE will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

And if She shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if She neglect to hear the church, let HER be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

This principles would be more effective if a man have other wives who can help absorb the bad effects of her serious sins in the family. The family instead of disintegrating because of her absence would still functions because of the presence of the other wives!

Hope Admin won’t erase this comment as it is an important truth.

Mr. Martinson: Post #5 is not insinuating that Ephesian 5:25 is promoting polygamy, it is rather explaining Ephesian 5:25 in the whole context of the whole scriptures…that is Loving your wife or wives like Christ love the church or churches! It is putting Ephesian 5:25 in its proper place in the whole scriptures…not as a main foundational scripture but as an Apostle command in which it must be interpreted rightly with the Laws of God and old testament scriptures as the backgrounder and foundation!

@ mister Tiuche:

You insinuate in commentary number 5 that “your wives” can refer to multiple wives, but the plural here is refering to all Christian husbands loving their own wives. This means all Christian men have to love the wife God has given to them until death. And the singular is laid out (proving that this text isn’t promoting polygamy) by God in verse 33, “Nevertheless, each individual among you also is to love his own wife (singular) even as himself, and the wife must see to it that she (singular) respects her husband.”
Praise the Lord and love your wife!
Enough said…

HOW TO LOVE YOUR WIFE OR WIVES!

Some talks about Love and loving but do they know what and how to love? I know what Love is but when it comes to doing it, i feel short. So here is how to love your wife or wives:

Love always forgives and never ends, bear all things-including the wicked things your wife or wives may do to you. Here is a comment from:
http://www.enduringword.com/commentaries/2803.htm

Then the LORD said to me, “Go again, love a woman who is loved by a lover and is committing adultery, just like the love of the LORD for the children of Israel, who look to other gods and love the raisin cakes of the pagans.”Hosea 3:1.

i. This shows us that though Deuteronomy 24:1 and Matthew 19:7-8 permit divorce when adultery breaks the marriage union, it by no means commands divorce. If God commanded divorce in the case of adultery, the He would go against His own command here.

ii. This also shows us an important principle about love: Hosea is directed to love, even when it must have been hard to love. We are filled with many romantic illusions about love, and one of these illusions is that love has very little to do with our will - we are just “captured” by love and follow whatever course it leads. But in principle, the Scriptures show us another way: That love is largely a matter of the will, and when we direct ourselves to love someone God tells us we must love, it can and will happen. This is why “We’re not in love anymore” isn’t valid grounds for a bad relationship or divorce. It assumes that love is something beyond or outside of our will.

b. Just like the love of the LORD for the children of Israel: Why did God command Hosea to go back to his still-unfaithful wife? Not only for the sake of Hosea and his wife Gomer, but also so that they would become a living lesson of the LORD’s relationship with His people. They were still steeped in spiritual adultery, yet the LORD still loved them.

i. When we think of the greatness of God’s love and compassion towards us, it should make us much more loving, compassionate, and forgiving towards others.

LOVING & UNDERSTANDING YOUR WIFE OR WIVES!

Here is a song from Billy Joel, She’s always a Woman to me:

She can kill with a smile
She can wound with her eyes
She can ruin your faith with her casual lies
And she only reveals what she wants you to see
She hides like a child,
But she’s always a woman to me

She can lead you to love
She can take you or leave you
She can ask for the truth
But she’ll never believe you
And she’ll take what you give her, as long as it’s free
Yeah, she steals like a thief
But she’s always a woman to me

CHORUS:
Oh–she takes care of herself
She can wait if she wants
She’s ahead of her time
Oh–and she never gives out
And she never gives in
She just changes her mind

And she’ll promise you more
Than the Garden of Eden
Then she’ll carelessly cut you
And laugh while you’re bleedin’
But she’ll bring out the best
And the worst you can be
Blame it all on yourself
Cause she’s always a woman to me
–Mhmm–

Bridge

CHORUS:
Oh–she takes care of herself
She can wait if she wants
She’s ahead of her time
Oh–and she never gives out
And she never gives in
She just changes her mind

She is frequently kind
And she’s suddenly cruel
She can do as she pleases
She’s nobody’s fool
And she can’t be convicted
She’s earned her degree
And the most she will do
Is throw shadows at you
But she’s always a woman to me
–Mhmm–
