This James is James the Just , he is also known as the Lord’s brother , and James the Bulwark - and is an apostle of the Twelve. - Apocryphon of James .

For his resemblance to The Lord , in terms physically and in teaching style, he was called the Lord’s brother - Epistle of John to Ignatius .
James , son of Zebedee is the first Bishop of Jerusalem , his term was from near 33 AD to near 62 AD .

James was chosen by the Lord for bishop . - The Gospel of Thomas .

Peter and James and John - the pre-eminently honoured by the Lord , - NT Gospels - did not contend for glory , but made James the Just , bishop of Jerusalem . - Clement , sixth book of the Hypotyposes .
