2 Bible Commentaries on Genesis 1: 10
This verse explains how God gathered all waters and called it seas as well as dry land called earth, if you see clearly this is a miracle and Gods power was manifested here.To understand this we have to look jermiah 5:22. Here he separates earth and water with sand and gather them together separately as a sphere(means like globe)or generally lik Ball. How sand contains water, its a great and wonderful workmanship of God. It clearly explains that,in the same way God used and manifested His power while saving a sinner. So Salvation is a greatest miracle and workmanship of God ever did in the face of earth to save chief sinner, but not mere healing.

Only “dry” land is considered “Earth.”
The “waters” (pl) were called “seas” (pl) for they were turbulent. They desired to go beyond their newly-created boundaries.
It was “good” that the “waters fell” in their place to make room for
mankind.
