God is flawed because he created mosquitos, fleas, ticks, round worms, heart worms, tsetse flies, bot flies, tape worms, liver flukes, lice, leeches, and all other parasitic species that are unneeded as a food source for other animals. Just stating a fact.

It’s all good:
Some people say that God was referring to man when He made the declaration “very good”. It seems clear to me that He was referring to the entire creation. Heavens, earth, light, sky, water, earth, stars, birds, fish, animals, and people were all necessary for everything to be considered complete. It does beg the questions: What is the difference between “good” and “very good”? Are there degrees of goodness? Reading ahead to Chapter 2 provides a clue. The fact that Adam was alone was “not good”. So he was not good, was not complete, until Eve was created. In a similar fashion heavens and earth were good during the creation process, but were very good (complete) once everything was created. This verse also serves as one reason why Young Earth Creationists believe that Lucifer has not yet fallen. There is no gap between verses 1 and 2, but there might be one between chapter 2 and chapter 3. If Satan had rebelled and was roaming around at this point, then that would be “not good”.

1)Yes,the phrase “it was good” occurs six times in Genesis 1.verses 4,10,
12,18,21,25
2)In the description of the 2nd day of creation,we don’t find the phrase,
“it was good.” In the description of the 3rd day of creation,we find that phrase twice in vs. 10 & 12.
3)On the sixth day, after the beasts, cattle& the creeping things were made,God saw that it was good.v25.On that day man & woman were also created.
4)But before the woman was created,God had said,”It is not good that the man should be alone….”Gen.2:18.
5)After the woman was made as help meet for man,the creative works had been completed in all respects.God saw everything that he had made, and behold it was very good.It was excellent in every way.
6)Yes,God has approved all the creative acts of the six days. The earth is full of God’s riches & His creatures. We can find the wisdom of God in the creative acts.Ps.104:24.We can admire the majesty & glory of God in the creation.Ps.8:1,9;19:1.
7)Thank you for publishing the Bible commentator John Calvin’s commentaries for Genesis 1.I prayed that for some good comments to be posted for Genesis Chapter 1,which is very important.

And God saw everything . Once more, at the conclusion of the creation, Moses declares that God approved of everything which he had made. In speaking of God as seeing, he does it after the manner of men; for the Lord designed this his judgment to be as a rule and example to us; that no one should dare to think or speak otherwise of his works. For it is not lawful for us to dispute whether that ought to be approved or not which God has already approved; but it rather becomes us to acquiesce without controversy. The repetition also denotes how wanton is the temerity of man: otherwise it would have been enough to have said, once for all, that God approved of his works. But God six times inculcates the same thing, that he may restrain, as with so many bridles, our restless audacity. But Moses expresses more than before; for he adds dam, (meod,) that is, very. On each of the days, simple approbation was given. But now, after the workmanship of the world was complete in all its parts, and had received, if I may so speak, the last finishing touch, he pronounces it perfectly good; that we may know that there is in the symmetry of God’s works the highest perfection, to which nothing can be added.

5)There are parallels between the first 3 days of creative acts & the second 3 days of creative acts. There is an order in the creation.
…….Day 1……………………………Day 4……………………..
……Light(Gen.1:3)…………….Sun,moon,Stars(Gen.1:14,16)……….
…….Day 2……………………………Day 5…………………..
…..Sea,firmament(Gen.1:6,7)……Whales(fish),fowls(birds)Gen.1:20,21..
……Day 3……………………………..Day 6………………….
…Grass,herbs,trees(Gen.1:11,12)…..Beast,cattle,creeping things,man…..
…………………………………. …(Gen.1:25-27)……………….
6)Man was different from other creations. He was created in the image & likeness of God.He was given lordship over the rest of the creation. He was made the guardian of the other creations.
7)God has created what He has planned.Six days of creative works had been completed.God saw everything he made.Behold,it was very good.He was well pleased with what He had made.

1)”Genesis” means “origin” or “beginnings.” Genesis is the Book of beginnings. It is the foundation for the whole Bible.Genesis chapter 1 is very important.
2)Moses was the writer of the first 5 books of the Bible. He didn’t give complete information about the creation in Genesis 1.He has written as per the revelation received from God.2 Pet.1:21;2 Tim.3:16.Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God.Heb.11:3.Moses was a learned person.Acts 7;22.God spoke with Moses face to face as a man speaks with his friend.Ex.33:11;Read Num.12:8;Deut.34:10.
3)It is said that in N.T.there are more than 200 quotations & allusions of the passages from Genesis. There are references for the creation of man in the N.T.e.g.,Matt.19:4;Mark 10:6;1 Cor.11:7-9;James 3:9.
4)In chapter 1 of Genesis the word “God”appeared 32 times in 31 verses.
“Elohim” -It is a plural word. The term suggests plurality of majesty or plenitude power in using of God’s creation & governing of man & the world.
