Question…some Bibles say God took a rib from Adam to make eve. Men do not have less ribs than woman so was it a rib? I’ve been told that the Hebrew word actually meant “side”. Which is correct?

Hi
I’m new here, so I’ll start off with something light and funny.
After Adam stayed out a few nights, Eve became suspicious. “You’re running around with another woman. Admit it!” She demanded.
“What other woman?” Adam shot back. “You’re it.”
That night Adam was fast asleep when Eve started poking him in the chest. Adam woke up. “What are you doing,” he asked.
“Counting your ribs.”

Debi (Post #3): God took one rib bone from Adam’s side to create the first woman. Adam and Eve took over from there to make more men and women.
The Hebrew word means either “rib” or “side.”
Verse 21 says God took one of Adam’s ribs.
Verse 22 says God made the woman from the rib bone.
Verse 23 says Adam recognized the woman as being bone from his bones, and flesh of his flesh.
