The contention in post 1 has no basis in fact. First of all the nation of Edom was south of Judah, while Turkey (Anatolia) is north. There is no record about how the Edomites faded from history and any claim that they moved to Anatolia is strictly conjectural.
Like many other nations today, Turkey contains a mix of people. In pre-Biblical and Biblical times Hittites were a major element of Anatolia. According to Exodus Yahweh ordered the destruction of all Hittites, however the Israelis were no match for the Hittite chariots.
