1)”Thou shalt not kill” is the sixth commandment of the “Ten commandments”.
Exodus 20:13;Deut.5:17.read Rom.13:9.

Bro.Terik Q has commented that the proper translation of the above commandment is “Thou shalt not murder” and that a person should not murder another because he is destroying someone made in God’s image.It is very true.He has mentioned a web site to refer for more explanation of this subject.
3)Man was given a position higher than the rest of the living creatures at the time creation.Please read Gen.1:26-28;Psalms8:4-8.He was given the ability to have fellowship with the Living God of Heaven and to worship Him.Man was given the privilege of ruling the rest of the creation as God’s representative on this earth.
4)Man was the crown of creation of God.The creation of man was the high point of creation.
5)The creation of man in God’s image is linked with the sixth commandment of the Ten Commandments even though it was made clear that was a sin to murder a man even before the giving of those commandments.
