1)The writer of Hebrews shows in Heb.1:1-3 that Jesus Christ is greater than the Old Testament prophets.
2)O.T.Prophets were the spokesmen of God.They were the representatives of God.They brought God’s message to the people.God spoke through His prophets.The will of God was revealed to the people through His prophets.
3)The Bible is written by holy men of God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.”For the prophecy came not in old time(Or at any time)by the will of men;but the holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”
2 Pet.1:21.
4)The Bible is the Word of God.It has life.It is powerful.It can bring changes in the lives of men.Read Heb.4:12.
5)”No prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation.” 2 Peter
1:20.”All Scripture is given by inspiration of God.” 2 Tim.3:16.
Inspiration=God breathed.
6)The Scripture must not be taken lightly.We must read & meditate the Word of God daily & apply the Biblical principles in our lives.Read Psalm 1.
7)Psalm 119 which is the longest chapter(176 verses) in the Bible speaks of the importance of the Word of God in almost every verse.
