1)The quotation of Deut.32:43 from the Greek Septuagint is used here.The
parallel verse is Psalm 97:7.”And again,when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world”-The above quotation is introduced by these words which may mean the first coming of Christ into this world as man.
2)The work of angels is to worship God.”..worship him,all ye gods” Psalm 97:7.In LXX,it has been found”all his angels.” Only God has to be worshiped.
Jesus Christ,as Son of God,is identified with God.He is the deity.He is
worthy to be worshiped.
3)Angels are created beings.They were created by God.It is not correct to worship the creation.To worship the creature is sin.Only the Creator has to be worshiped.Romans 1:24-26.
4)Apostle John fell down to worship an angel in Rev.22:8.The angel said,
“See thou do it not;for I am fellow servant,and of thy brethren,the prophets
and of them which keep the sayings of this book;worship God.”This is the second occasion that Apostle John has fallen to worship an angel.See Rev.
19:10.He was corrected on the first occasion also.
5)It is idolatrous to worship any person or object other than the True God.
Exodus 20:3-5;Deut.6:13;10:20;Matthew 4:10;Luke 4:8.Only the True God alone has to be worshiped.Read 1 Thes.1:9.
6)It seems that the practice of worshiping of angels might have prevailed among the Jews & even among the Christians.The Bible teaches against
worshiping of angels.Read Col.2:18.
7)We have to honor the instruments of God used by Him for His glory.but we must not worship them.Acts 10:25,26;14:11-18.We must give the glory to god & worship Him.
