One Bible Commentary on Hebrews 10: 15

1)The writer of Hebrews has mentioned in the opening verse of the epistle that God has spoken in time past to the ancestors by the prophets. He believed that the Old Testament Scriptures written by human authors are the Words of the holy Spirit.Read 2 Pet.1:21.
2)In Heb.3:7-11,the writer of the Epistle quoted Ps.95:7-11,mentioning that the Holy Ghost is the speaker.Heb.3:7.In Heb.4;7,he pointed out that the author of the above psalm is David.
3)In Heb.9:8 also, the writer of the Hebrews mentioned the speaker of the verse as the Holy Ghost. Please read also Heb.1:6,7 &13.
4)In Heb.8;8-12,the writer of Hebrews quoted the full text of Jer.31:31-34.
In Heb.10:16 &17,he used part of the above quotation mentioning Holy Ghost as the Speaker in verse 15.Thus he clearly pointed out that the prophecies of Jeremiah were the words spoken by the Holy Spirit through the Prophet. He turned the attention of the readers to the prophecies of Jeremiah once again as concluding remarks in his detailed discussion to show clearly about the superiority of the ministry of Jesus Christ by bringing out the distinctive features of the New Covenant enacted by Him.The writer of Hebrews did not mention about the authorship of the Book of Jeremiah anywhere in his epistle but wanted to remind the readers that the prophecies of Jeremiah could not be taken lightly as they were the words spoken by the Holy Spirit.
5) The Bible written by about some 40 different human authors over a time span of nearly 1600 years is the Word of God.Read Heb.4:12.
