By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

1)There are three passages in the Bible which tell about Enoch.Gen.5:22-24;
Heb.11:4,5;Jude 1:14,15.Enoch is seventh from Adam.Jude 1:14;Gen.5:18.The name “Enoch” means “consecrated” or “dedicated”.
2)Enoch had a family with wife,sons & daughters.Gen.5:22;His son Methuselah lived for 969 years.He died in the very year of the flood.Gen.5:27.
3)Enoch was a man of faith.The writer of Hebrews furnished the list of Heroes of faith in Hebrews 11.The name of Enoch name comes second after Abel.
4)Enoch walked with God.Gen.5:22-24.The Bible tells that Noah who lived at the time of the flood also walked with God.Gen.6:9.Noah escaped the judgment
of God by entering into the Ark.Enoch & Noah maintained right relationship with God.They talked with God & listened to the words of God.Enoch walked with God for 300 years after the birth of his son Methuselah who was born when Enoch was 65 years old.Gen.5:22,23.
5)Enoch pleased God.He did what God was pleased with.His life was a
testimony.He lived a righteous life.Read Dan.9:23.”for thou art greatly beloved.”
6)Enoch preached about the coming judgment & the second coming of Jesus Christ.Jude 1:14,15.
7)Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found,
because God had translated him.Heb.11:5.”and he was not;for God took him”
Gen.5:24.Elijah was the other person who was translated.2 Kings 2:11.The translation of Enoch symbolizes the the translation of the saints of God
(Church)at the second coming of Christ.1 Cor.15:51,51;1 Thes.4:16,17.
