1)The name of Jesus is mentioned for the first time in this Epistle.Joshua is the equivalent name with the meaning “Jehovah is salvation.” Read Matt.1:21;Luke1:31.
2)Please go through the passages in Hebrews in which the name of Jesus is mentioned.Heb.3:1;4:14;6:20;7:22;10:10,19;12:2,24;13:12,20,21.
3)In Chapter1,the writer of Hebrews mentioned that Jesus was”made so much better than the angels.”In Chapter he mentioned that Jesus was “made a little lower than angels.”In chapter1,Jesus was presented as Son of God& in Chapter 2,He was presented as Son of Man.
4)In Hebrews 2:7,the writer cited the quotation of Psalm 8:5,in which David mentioned about the exalted position assigned to man at the time of creation in Genesis 1.This quotation is applied to Jesus who came as man to die on the Cross to offer Himself as sacrifice for our sins.He rose again on the third day & sat on the right hand of God.Read Heb.8:1;10:12,13;

5)The humiliated & exalted positions of Jesus Christ are described in Phil.2:7-11.When He became man,He was made a little lower than the angels.When He rose again & sat on the right hand of God,He was crowned with glory & honor.Read Eph.1:20-22;1 Peter 3:22.
6)Man has lost the position assigned to him at the time of his creation because of sin.Jesus has regained that position lost by man through his death & resurrection.Victory over sin,death & the devil has been made possible through the death of Jesus Christ.Read Romans 8:34;1Cor.15:25-27;

7)Because of the death of Jesus Christ salvation was made available to every
