1)The New Covenant was inaugurated by Jesus Christ with the shedding of His blood.Matt.26:28;Mark 14:24;Luke 22:20;1 Cor.11:25;Heb.9:12,22.Jesus has become the guarantee of the better Covenant.Heb.7:22;He is the mediator of a better covenant,which has been enacted on better promises.Heb.8:6.Jesus Christ is the one who mediates a new covenant between God & people,so that all who are called can receive the eternal inheritance God has promised them.Heb.9:15.
2)Entrance into the presence of God was made possible because of the death of Jesus Christ for our sins.When Jesus died on the Cross,the veil of the temple was rent in twain from top to bottom.Matt.27:51;Mark 15:38;Luke 23:35
The veil which separated the Holy of Holies was rent.Ex.26:31-33.2 Chr.
3:14.Jesus Christ has consecrated for us a new & living way through the veil,that is to say,his flesh.Heb.10:19,20.
3)If we have the assurance of salvation,we can draw near to God in full assurance of faith.Heb.10:22;Read Heb.4:16;7:19,25.
4)The Holy spirit is given to the believers as a pledge for inheritance.
Those who are saved after having believed the Gospel of salvation are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.Eph.2:13,14.Read 2 Cor.1:22;Eph.4:30.
5)Jesus said:”..the Holy Ghost..shall teach you all things.” John14:26.
“..when…the Spirit of truth is come,he will guide into all truth.” John 16:13.”But for you,the anointing(the sacred appointment,the unaction) which you received from Him abides (permanently) in you;(so)then you have no need that anyone should instruct you.” 1 John 2:27ff(Amp). Because of the indwelling of the holy Spirit,the believers in Christ are taught of the things of God.Read Is.54:13;1 Cor.2:10.
6)The people of Berea were open minded.They listened eagerly to the message of Paul.They searched the Scriptures day after day to see if Paul & Silas were teaching the truth.Read Acts 17:11,12.God has given us the Word of God.As we study it under the illumination of the Holy Spirit we understand the things of God.
7)Jesus said:”It is written in the prophets ,And they shall be all taught of God.Everyone therefore that hath heard & learned of the Father cometh to me.”John 6:45;Read Is.54:13;Jer.31:34;Mic.4:2

Paul quotes from Jeremiah 31:34. In the New Covenant entrance will not be like the Old Covenant. In the Old Covenant men entered as infants, knowing nothing. Then they had to be told by their neighbors and brothers in the Covenant “know the Lord” because they didn’t know him, having entered as infants. But in the New Covenant, nobody enters until they know the Lord. This prophecy of Jeremiah shows that infant baptism is a false doctrine. You must know the Lord before you can enter the New Covenant, that is, you must believe the gospel and confess such belief openly before you can be baptized.
