Gentlemen,
surely we can keep this discussion more civil than this. No offense intended but posting such hostile comments doesn’t make either of your sides look very good.
Alan, at some point in the past you clicked a box at the bottom of the page that indicated you wanted to be notified when people respond to this line of comments.
To stop those notifications there is a link at the bottom of the emails you’ve been getting that allows you to “manage your subscriptions”.
Have a good day gentlemen.

Well obviously the deluded bit touched a nerve. I didn’t come here to “poison” anyone, in fact if I can help anyone out of their delusion I would be happy. However I don’t recall ASKING for anyone to pollute my inbox with this sanctimonious crap and given my feelings on the subject can you imagine I would? Maybe I replied to something somewhere and got included on some list, I don’t know. All I know is that I have looked and can’t find anywhere to unsubscribe. Maybe you could be a nice person and unsubscribe me and we can go our separate ways.
Alan,
You are so transparent and duplicitous. You say; “Religious belief is a poisonous fraud..” But is is YOU who are the poisonous fraud! You have come onto this site with no other intention but to poison it with your ridiculous rhetoric.
And talk about fraudulent! You say; “I would like nothing more than to move on but you keep sending these revolting emails to my in box.” NOBODY is choosing to send emails to your inbox and you know it. You have ASKED them to be sent to you! Do try to weave at least a tiny thread of truth into your posts or just unsubscribe altogether.

Religious belief is a poisonous fraud based on the cultural and gender bias’ of its founding liar. If we look at the Bible itself and use its moral crusaders and “prophets” as an example for “good” human behaviour, we may find our “modern taste” cringes in sickly disgust at perverted antics and religious scaremongering.
At least you realise you are “deluded”. The logical next step would to accept the real world and forget about your delusions and your nonsensical sky daddy.
I would like nothing more than to move on but you keep sending these revolting emails to my in box.
Well Alan,
If it’s all nothing more than “made up BS” and “ridiculous myths”; I fail to see how any of this stuff could be considered “scaremongering”. How is it any different than Harry Potter or the Twilight vampire books? Are you distressed about these books also?
I’m sorry that you don’t hate anything because there is PLENTY of real evil and injustice in the world to hate. And if you so “intensely dislike” the things you read on this forum, perhaps you would do well to simply move along and just leave all the rest of us to our ‘delusions’.

@infernus006, this whole place is disgusting. A bunch of silly little children admonishing their younger siblings with threats of “wait till mommie gets here, you’ll cop it then”, type of talk. NOTHING IS COMING PEOPLE!!
And you’re wrong, I don’t hate anything, I dislike intensely this stupid scaremongering bullshit.
Go away and try to frighten some children, it’s about all you can manage. Surely thinking adults don’t buy into your ridiculous myths.
Concerning Post #3
Alan is right to call this verse “hate speak”. It’s the “speak” of a holy God who hates the actions of a very unholy and ruthless nation.
As to whether this “speak” should be tolerated, Alan already knows the answer because he would surely take issue with anyone who wanted to forbid HIM from “speaking” hatefully. I could be wrong but I find it not too hard to imagine that Alan himself would WELCOME this kind of “speak” if it were directed at a person, nation or cause that HE happened to hate. (You do hate SOMETHING don’t you Alan?).
But regarding the matter of whether or not “it’s all made-up BS”; it may not be much longer until Alan and all the rest of the world really knows for sure.

When we remember that “As we reap so shall we sew” this passage begins to make sense.
This verse is a judgment against babylon, who had done these exact same terrible things to many other nations, and thus God says that other nations were going to do these same things to them.

“Hate speak?” I agree more with Infernus006, it IS “disgusting,” but “hate speak?” I don’t know about all that. Hate speak would be more like: “The best kind of homosexual is a “flaming” homosexual…They should set them all on fire!”

You think that’s bad…Just wait till Jesus comes. “To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” (Jude 1:15)
