Isaiah 14: 12 Commentary

CAN we TRUST THE UNITED NATIONS? Who are manning this organization? Are they for believers in God? Consider a quote from one of its official:

Roland G: The word planet means “wandering star”. They had no concept of what a planet is. “Astrotheology” is a concept that shows most religions have added stories of the zodiac, stars, planets and other celestial bodies into their stories. Traces of that are in the bible. Like this passage in Isaiah.

The KJV does not imply this to be the devil. This is a Babylonian king represented as the planet Venus which used to be called Lucifer.

The Jewish religion shows heavy traces of Saturn worship.

Roland G: I personally believe those stories to be Jewish myths. The Jewish creation myth is a makeover of the Egyptian creation myth of “Atum the hermaphrodite” (both male and female). Satan, the bad guy, is another name for the Egyptian “Set”.

Similarities abound in these tales. They are a part of the history of the religions in the Mediterranean area.

It is so sad that many wars have been fought over this stuff. The idea of a ’superior race’ did not originate with the Nazis. The Jews were ahead of them!

Topic 1:

“Lucifer” is not a KJV mistranslation. It is an appropriate epithet or glorified nickname for Satan before he sinned against God. Isaiah 14:12 of the Latin Vulgate reads, “quomodo cecidisti de caelo lucifer qui mane oriebaris corruisti in terram qui vulnerabas gentes.” The English translation of the Septuagint uses “Lucifer.” And, the English revised 1833 Webster update 1995 uses “Lucifer.” The Hebrew uses “Shining One.” Morning Star and Evening Star are nicknames that describe the planet Venus. Satan is never called an “Evening Star.” “

Other translations use: Bright Morning Star; Daystar; Day Star; Shining One; Shining Star; Shining Morning Star; Son of Dawn; Son of the Dawn; Son of Morning; Son of the Morning; the Bright Morning Star.

Topic 2:

Lucifer is not the planet Venus. Lucifer, later called Satan, is a REAL person. Do you remember back in the Garden of Eden there was God, Adam, Eve, and Satan, the Devil? Adam and Eve were not tempted to sin by a planet!

Who is Lucifer? Only the KJV has ‘Lucifer’. The only passage that mentions this name. Bible scholars say this is another KJV mistranslation. These passages deal with The destruction of Babylon, and the death of its proud monarch.

Wicipedia on Lucifer:
“Lucifer means “light-bearer” (from the words lucem ferre). It was the name given to the dawn appearance of the planet Venus, which heralds daylight. For this meaning, English generally uses the names “Morning Star” or “Day Star”, and rarely “Lucifer”.”

PENTAGRAM AND LUCIFER
So, what is Lucifer? Americans love war, they love to wave the red, white and blue. Flags with with pentagrams. Designed by Betsy Ross (yeah, right). The Pentagram symbolizes the orbit of Venus, when viewed from Earth. Venus is also called Lucifer. It is the ’sun’ of the morning. Venus was worshiped in many cultures.
