For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

1)There are 3 heavens mentioned in the Scriptures.
2)First heaven:The heaven in which the birds fly.Jer.4:25.”..all the birds of the heavens were fled.” Read Gen.1:20.
3)Second heaven:The heaven in which the stars are found.Is.13:10.”For the stars of heaven & the constellations thereof shall not give their light;the Sun shall be darkened in his going forth & the moon shall not cause her light to shine.” Read Gen.1:15;Is.14:13.
4)Third heaven:The heaven in which there is the presence of God.Heb.9:24.

1)The Earth is the 5th larger planet in our Solar system which has 9 major planets.Jupiter,Saturn,Uranus & Neptune are larger than the Earth.Pluto is the smallest planet. It is significant to note that Uranus,Neptune & Pluto have been discovered only in the recent past.(1781-1930).
2)The Earth is the 3rd planet from the Sun.Mercury & Venus are closer to the
Sun than the Earth. The earth orbits around the Sun in between Venus & Mars.
3)The Earth is an unique planet.God has created & formed it with very much favorable conditions for human beings to live in it.Water,Oxygen & the required temperature necessary for men to live are available only on the Earth.Read Ps.115:16.
4)Atmosphere surrounds at equal distances of 1600 KM around the Earth.The Earth’s atmosphere is 77% to 78% Nitrogen,21% Oxygen & 1% Argon,Hydrogen,
Carbon-di-Oxide,Helium,Ozone etc.
5)Earth is the only planet in which water is available.Even though ice & steam are available in some planets, there is no water in those planets.
Nearly 70% of the Earth’s surface is covered by water.Earth is called the “Water Planet.”
6)Earth is not so far away or so near to the Sun when compared to the other planets. It is said that the average temperature of the earth when it is against the Sun is 17 degrees. This temperature is suitable for the existence of the living beings on the Earth.Mercury & Venus are very near to the Sun & the temperature is very high in these planets.Jupiter,Saturn,
Uranus,Neptune & Pluto are very far away from the Sun & the temperature is very low there.Man cannot live in these planets. There is no evidence of human beings in Mars which is the next planet to the Earth away from the Sun.
7)The Earth’s axis of rotation is tilted about 23.5 degrees from the perpendicular to its orbital plane. This is the reason for the occurrence of various seasons on the surface of the earth.Read Gen.8:22;Jer.33:20,25
