Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.

While drawing any conclusion on the Biblical text, one would do well to interpret in its immediate and other contexts first.

In Isaiah Chapter 41-46, the reference is to Cyrus, the Persian king. In the very beginning of book of Isaiah, it is clearly stated that he received all the prophetic messages during the reign of the three kings of Judah: Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, well before the Babylonian captivity. Now the LORD again and again claims that He is the One who declares the end from the beginning(Isaiah 46:10).The Lord not only revealed that the people of Judah will be exiled into Babylon, but that even Babylon will be punished for destroying Jerusalem and the Temple therein(Isaiah 47), and the Babylon will be conquered by Cyrus who will also allow or even order the rebuilding of the city and the temple without taking any tribute (Isaiah 45:13). Cyrus is mentioned by name in Isaiah 44:28; 45:1. He was to come from the East. (Isaiah 41:1; 46:11; 41:25). In the Bible, the people used to say just “the East,” and it meant countries east of the river Jordon. (Genesis 25:5; Job1:3; 1 Kings 4:3-4). But Isaiah not only makes mention of “The East” –not any country just immediate east of Jordon-, but a far away country( Isaiah 41:2), and it has a reference to Persia( Iran). We also find the phrase “rising of the sun,” but it doesn’t mean Japan, but as the people of that time understood, it only meant/means “the East”.

Jeremiah not only foretold the destruction of Jerusalem and the exile of the people of Judah into Babylon, but also that the Israelites will return from their exile after seventy years (Jeremiah 25:11-12; 51:1-58 especially 51:11) and that Babylon will be overthrown. Jeremiah prophecy was also made even before the fall of Jerusalem at the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon (See Jeremiah 51: 59-64, especially V. 59).

As prophesied Cyrus, as a ravenous bird, not only swiftly got victories over many nations, but was the one who passed a decree of restoration of Jerusalem and rebuilding of the temple in it and also of the return of the Jews(2 chronicle 36:23; Ezra 1:2-4). It is in Cyrus that the prophecies made by Isaiah and Jeremiah were fulfilled. One may like to read the article on Cyrus in the wikipaedia.

Jesus is the Christ the Son of God. He is the prophesied Messiah. One has to list the prophecies made about Him in the Old Testament and how they are fulfilled in the New Testament. There are also some prophesies that are related to His second coming and they wait for their fulfillment. The Bible also prophesies about the Antichrist. So it is not proper to take out a single verse out of its context and really intended meaning and apply it to the writings that are not part of it.

But Jorge, when it comes to numbers, don’t place too much credibility in their meanings, when they appear outside the Bible. Even “Bible” numerology is NOT an exact science… but it is very very “interesting.”

I’m unclear what 46 represents but in bible numerology 23 (46 divided by 2) is the number of death. ie. Psalm “23″ is usually read at funerals. It has 6 verses. 6 is the number of man. Thus in Romans 6:23 we find “…the wages of sin is death…”

I think the man mentioned in both Isaiah 46:11 and 41:1-6 is one and the same person who will be raised by God after the coming of ALL PROPHETS just before the end of world from a nation which is far from and located east of Israel, most probably from India. This man is a messenger of God but not a prophet with a mission to purge God-revealed religions of human distortions, restore the true religion and establish One World Government based on God’s scriptures, which will be the Kingdom of God on earth. This messenger is the one foretold in religions by God’s prophets includuing JESUS in different names such as Messiah, Son of man, Soashyant,Mahdi, Maitreya, et al.

Many think erroneously that the man referred in Isaiah 41:1-6 is the Cyrus or Darius. It is wrong as the following words clearly inform that after the great incident mentioned in these verses took place, there will immediately follow the Resurrection ie God calls the generations :

“Who has performed and done this, calling the generations”

Please read the verses below :

Isaiah 41:1-6

“Listen to me in silence, O coastlands; let the peoples renew their strength; let them approach, then let them speak; let us together draw near for judgment,Who has roused a victor from the east, summoned him to his service? He delivers up nations to him, and tramples kings under foot; he makes them like dust with his sword, like driven stubble with his bow. He pursues them and passes on safely, scarcely touching the path with his feet. Who has performed and done this, calling the generations”

Christians also believe in an end-time prophet who will seek to establish a one world religion and a one world government. The Bible calls him “the false prophet.” I don’t know what your little ol Koran calls him, and I don’t really care either. If it somehow leads you to believe that Jesus is not the Messiah, then it’s not worth the paper it’s written on.

I think Isaiah 46: 11 refers to a messenger of God(Qur’an 3:81) who will be sent by God in the end times to confirm the existing scriptures, restore the true religion and establish a world government based on the God’s scriptures. He is the Messiah foretold in religions revealed by God but Pseudo Christians(almost all christians of today) will oppose him as the antichrist because they wrongly believe that Jesus is the Messiah.
