And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

Dr. Sanky Nagarajan (Post #2)

This verse is part of a one-sided agreement made by Jehovah God to the nation of Israel. God offered to bless the nation of Israel in exchange for eight acts. If the nation of Israel acts on God’s promise, then God will fulfill His promise.

God is saying that He will lead the nation of Israel as soon as they meet the conditions. God will lead continually, that is, regular but interrupted. God will richly satisfy the soul of the nation. He will supply their needs beyond what they need or want. He will make fat their bones by giving them plenty to eat as will support strong, healthy bodies. Israel will be like a garden drenched in water. Israel will be like a natural spring that never dries. God is saying, He will not disappoint them.

Today, God promises generous blessing on all believers in salvation through the LORD Jesus Christ. God is the same, yesterday, today, and tomorrow (Heb. 13:8). God is objective and does not favor one person over another (Rom. 2:11). God looks inside the heart (1 Sam. 16:7). God searches the heart (Psalm 44:21). Jesus Christ intercedes on the Believer’s behalf (Heb. 7:25). God the Holy Spirit intercedes on the Believer’s behalf (Rom. 8:26). God grants peace within their borders and satisfies their hunger with the finest of wheat (Psalm 147:14). Believers can confidently expect individual blessing if they act in ways pleasing to God (Psalm 115.13).

Happy New Year!
