Phillip M. Brown (Post #1): What is the dominant message of James 1:2-4, 1 Sam. 17:33-35; Jeremiah 12:5?

Learn and apply God’s Word daily to experience.
________________

Believers should consider the various pressures of life all joy. Without pressures and patience to endure them no one can become spiritually mature. Pressures and patience help believers grow into mature Christian warriors or soldiers who lack nothing.

Believers learn to apply God’s Word to experience by first passing basic tests. Successfully passing basic tests builds confidence. Confidence motivates believers to fight the good fight of faith bravely and fearlessly in much greater battles.

Believers who cannot pass basic tests cannot pass difficult tests. The infantry foot soldier who exhausts quickly while training in peacetime battle drills pictures the believer not yet fully developed.

So, learning how to apply God’s Word to experience is necessary for success in the Devil’s world. It lessens casualty risk.
