One Bible Commentary on Job 26: 7

1)The Book of Job is one of the oldest books of the O.T.It is a poetic book with some details of creation in it.
2)There were many wrong theories about the suspension of the earth in ancient days.But the Bible has made no error.It says that the earth hangs upon nothing.God’s power holds it.Read Heb.1:3;Col.1:17.
3)Sir.Isaac newton was the English scientist who lived from 1642-1727.In A.D.1687,he has formulated the theory of gravitational force.He has shown that the earth suspends from nothing.Gravitational force holds all the heavenly bodies as they revolve in their own orbits in the space without causing any damage to one another.It is a great wonder!
4)”Empty space” mentioned in Job 26:7,refers to the place in the space where there are no stars.It is said that such empty places in the space have been discovered only in the recent past.
5)Sir.Isaac newton has said that he had a fundamental belief in the Word of God written by men who were inspired & that he used to study the Bible daily.
6)Let us praise God for giving us His Word in our hands.
7)There are many verses in the O.T. which speak of God’s power & wisdom in the acts of creation.Please read Job 38:4-7;Psalm 8;33:6;102:25;104:2-5;
Is.40:26;42:5;45:12.
