1. Those who were born-again by God:
a. Can NOT credit their physical ancestors
i. For God has no grandchildren
b. Can NOT credit their own works-righteousness
i. For salvation is by faith alone
c. Can NOT be “decreed as saved” by another person
i. For salvation must be a personal faith in Jesus
2. It is only by God’s sovereign choice
a. That ANY of us saved
3. This again demonstrates that salvation
a. Begins and ends with God

Rebirth of the human soul is not the result of human blood. It is possible because of the sacrifice death and shed blood of Christ. Rebirth does not stem from the mind, design or purpose of man. It comes from God’s will, design or purpose. Jesus Christ has eternal life, so, whoever believes in Him also has eternal life. In other words, once saved, always saved.

Verse 13 is dealing with a spiritual birth which points to John Chapter 3. In John 3:6 “Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.” Being born into the family of God is quite different from being born into a human family. In John 8 the apostle speaks regarding those that are of the physical descent of Abraham that it is of no significance if one does not rerpoduce Abraham’s faith (Rom 4; Gal 3). The new birth is an act of God.

Here John was speaking of spiritual birth not physical birth. I thought of the birth of john the baptist, for he was for reason. And us we are born because there was a marriage of two people, after them they had a will of having children. I thought it in that way

Cleopas:
This verse talks about God’s begotten humans that Jesus gave the power to become the Sons of God through their receiving of Him as their Savior-these are they have believe in His Name (see John 1:12)…Him-whose name is THE WORD OF GOD (compare John 1:14,1 to Revelation19:13).
These Sons/Daughters of God were born(not of blood) but of water and of the Spirit for the Kingdom of Heaven(see John 3:5); being born again, not of corruptble seed ( blood/flesh/ word/will of man) but of incorruptible by the WORD OF GOD, which lives and endures forever (1 Peter 1:23)…
