And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

1. Jesus again refers to Himself as the ‘Son of Man’
a. Which is a title of DEITY (Dan 7:13)
2. I do NOT think this was meant to be taken LITERALLY
a. That throughout the ministry of Jesus
b. The disciples would frequently
c. Watch heaven open up
d. And angelic beings walking
e. Up and down back and forth
f. To and from Jesus
3. I believe Jesus is saying that HE
a. Would be the REVEALER of heavenly truths
b. Just as the ladder carrying angels
c. Once revealed truth to Jacob (Gen 28:10-22)
4. Jesus is pointing Nathanael to Himself
a. As the Focal Point of God’s
b. Revelation knowledge here on earth
