God is not His name…it’s His title…the object or target of our worship. Our theology reflects our relationship with the living God…of one thing we Christians can agree…we worship a Heavenly Father who loved us enough to send His only begotten son, Jesus, who died for our forgiveness and so we can be reconciled to the Father, and “…Christ in us, the hope of glory….”(Colossians 1) through the person of the Holy Spirit who indwells every believer.
Our faith is in all three, but each for a different reason and purpose. Whether you accept them as being one God, we know that our objects and targets of worship are in all three.
All three were present at the baptism of Jesus. The Son being baptized, the Holy Spirit coming down in the form of a dove, the voice of the Father saying, “This is my beloved Son. In Him I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:13-17)
