I do not believe in God for comfort! That’s not real faith. I believe in God because I feel his power.

IN A WORD WAR YOU CAN NEVER WIN AGAINST THE WORD OF GOD!

Yes I know it Charles I am just hitting you with the Sword & Hammer of God -no personal thing at all…to slash through your high imaginations and pound your hard head and hard heart to soften it up…as i have said i am free of your blood…but every time you come my way…i’ll be using my tools given to me-it is just a job no personal thing at all!

We are all necessary in the story that is unfolding-Judas and Jesus were both necessary back then. W/o Judas the story would have not been complete…but woe to the man that plays the bad character role!

If you already know the author is inconsistent why do you keep on reading his nonsense claims and wasting your time here? Have you gone nuts? Or do you have any common sense wasting your remaining time on a” useless book”? You are sour graping for that which you think is unattainable to you. You hate the author beloved of jesus and the God he loves!

Tiuche, you are quick on insults but cheap on words. Tell me where I am putting words in the mouth of the author of John!

The words “believe ALSO in me” or believe in God AND me, or in Samson AND Delilah or peanut butter AND jelly or ANY two mentioned entities means they are TWO entities. That’s common sense.

On the other hand the same author talks of Jesus being in the Father and vice-versa. An educated look at the various verses make it clear that the author is inconsistent with himself.

Charles: It is your mind that is confuse and not the author John the beloved Apostle of Jesus Christ…you are just studying his writing and yet putting words in his mouth which he did not say, how does that reveal your reading comprehension. The Word of John are plain and easy to understand…but one who tries to make his word without common sense is a man who lacks understanding!

In chapter 14 the author of John embarks upon a very challenging mission of putting Jesus on equal footing with God without calling him God. It’s a very delicate balance, and it doesn’t always come out well. For example, in this verse the word “also” or “and” indicates that God and Jesus are two separate entities. However, later on in this chapter the author says that God and Jesus are one. Now, of course, being one could be just a metaphor, as, for example, we talk of a husband and wife as being one. Still, it is confusing and opposing conclusions can be made from the same book.

MY HEART IS TROUBLED THOUGH I BELIEVE IN GOD AND ON JESUS AS MY LORD & SAVIOR…50 years of struggling on earth and more than 35 years in the faith, trying to climb every inch of ground to be called, chosen and be found faithful…have i miss His Word…or am i being still deceived by my deceitful heart? Is my eyes focus on Him-the Author & Finisher of my Faith…i saw the false churches, baby Christians surrounded by wolves, old Christians in the faith rendered ineffective…here is how
Bob Dylan beautifully wrote & sang it:
(Listen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcWl20c1Wmk&feature=related)

’twas in another lifetime, one of toil and blood
When blackness was a virtue and the road was full of mud
I came in from the wilderness, a creature void of form.
“Come in,” she said, “I’ll give you shelter from the storm.”

And if I pass this way again, you can rest assured
I’ll always do my best for her, on that I give my word
In a world of steel-eyed death, and men who are fighting to be warm.
“Come in,” she said, “I’ll give you shelter from the storm.”

Not a word was spoke between us, there was little risk involved
Everything up to that point had been left unresolved.
Try imagining a place where it’s always safe and warm.
“Come in,” she said, “I’ll give you shelter from the storm.”

I was burned out from exhaustion, buried in the hail,
Poisoned in the bushes and blown out on the trail,
Hunted like a crocodile, ravaged in the corn.
“Come in,” she said, “I’ll give you shelter from the storm.”

Suddenly I turned around and she was standin’ there
With silver bracelets on her wrists and flowers in her hair.
She walked up to me so gracefully and took my crown of thorns.
“Come in,” she said, “I’ll give you shelter from the storm.”

Now there’s a wall between us, somethin’ there’s been lost
I took too much for granted, got my signals crossed.
Just to think that it all began on a long-forgotten morn.
“Come in,” she said, “I’ll give you shelter from the storm.”

Well, the deputy walks on hard nails and the preacher rides a mount
But nothing really matters much, it’s doom alone that counts
And the one-eyed undertaker, he blows a futile horn.
“Come in,” she said, “I’ll give you shelter from the storm.”

I’ve heard newborn babies wailin’ like a mournin’ dove
And old men with broken teeth stranded without love.
Do I understand your question, man, is it hopeless and forlorn?
“Come in,” she said, “I’ll give you shelter from the storm.”

In a little hilltop village, they gambled for my clothes
I bargained for salvation an’ they gave me a lethal dose.
I offered up my innocence and got repaid with scorn.
“Come in,” she said, “I’ll give you shelter from the storm.”

Well, I’m livin’ in a foreign country but I’m bound to cross the line
Beauty walks a razor’s edge, someday I’ll make it mine.
If I could only turn back the clock to when God and her were born.
“Come in,” she said, “I’ll give you shelter from the storm.”
