3 Bible Commentaries on John 4: 22
THE BELIEVING JEWS ” WHO WERE TORAH OBEDIENT” (to use Tractorman’s phrase)…
29But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
The Jews who were Torah (First Five Books of the Bible) obedient…
The Jews who were zealous of the Laws of God…
the Jews who rest in the Law & make a boast of God…
The Jews who knows the will of God and are the Official Approver of what things are excellent
The Jews as guide of the blind and lights of the world…
The Jews as instructor of tHe foolish, a teacher of babes…
ALL OF THESE BECAUSE THEY WERE INSTRUCTED FROM THE LAW, ESTABLISHING IT AND HAD BEEN LEAD INTO THE REALITY WHICH IS JESUS CHRIST
Romans 2:
17Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God,
18And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;
19And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,
20An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.
Matthew 5:18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Romans 3:31Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

FOR THE DOERS OF THE LAW shall be JUSTIFIED & IS THE TRUE JEW…
Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;…An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.Romans 2:17-20
But though they be the holder of the Law they are warned not to break it:
Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?Romans 2:23.
Observing & keeping the Law is the requirement(Romans 2:25-26); the perfect keeping of the Law is impossible since all have sinned; but being a SINCERE doer of the law put oneself as having faith in God & thefrefore a spiritual Jew …as it is written:
Romans 2:9 but he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
Deuteronomy 30:6 The LORD your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, so that you may love him with all your heart and with all your soul, and live.
Jeremiah 4:4 Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, circumcise your hearts, you men of Judah and people of Jerusalem, or my wrath will break out and burn like fire because of the evil you have done–burn with no one to quench it.
Jeremiah 9:25 “The days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when I will punish all who are circumcised only in the flesh–
Romans 2:13 the doers of the law shall be justified
