11 Bible Commentaries on John 6: 37

Your Post#9The useless slave or servant in Matt. 25:30 refers to an unbeliever who forfeits any chance of ruling and reigning with Christ because he never accepted Him in the first place .
Scott Dale post in Matthew 25:30 wrote: I disagree that this servant is not saved. The story is a parable of the servants of Christ who are called to be faithful while he is away. Besides the fact that these individuals are clearly his “servants”, the text also says in verse 14 that the master “entrusted” his property to them. I don’t know that Jesus would ever entrust his riches to any individual who did not know him as a believer.
Then you answer him thank you…do you now agree that the servant indeed refers to believers?

Monsieur Tiuche (Post #8): The useless slave or servant in Matt. 25:30 refers to an unbeliever who forfeits any chance of ruling and reigning with Christ because he never accepted Him in the first place. By rejecting Jesus Christ he never did obtain the free gift of salvation to be able to participate in the angelic conflict. Christians must participate in the angelic conflict to have an opportunity of ruling and reigning for all eternity as servant-kings with Christ. Only unbelievers will be cast into the Lake of Fire where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Read the last part of Matt. 25:30. It is not a loss of salvation verse.

Roland G. How do you read?
Romans 11:22 Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.
Paul in the above verse was talking to Roman believers! Are you playing dumb?
Matthew 25:30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Jesus in Matthew 25:30 was warning HIS SERVANTS(those who believes in him and call Him their Lord)…who calls Jesus Lord? Are you not His servant?
What is happening to you roland G? I thought you were here to learn? If you cannot humble yourself and insist on your doctrines even if proven wrong…well I do not condemn you…but i do tell you that you are wrong!

As we said before, so say we now again, Predestination to salvation is UNBIBLICAL. Let us examine what this passage of Scripture here means.
“All that the Father giveth me shall come to me;…”
Here we see that God the Father, gives Christ (God the Son), certain people.
Because God the Father gives certain people to Christ, is anyone left out of God’s plan of redemption for mankind? ABSOLUTELY NOT.
How do we know this?
2 Pet 3:9 declares that, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, NOT WILLING that ANY should perish, but that ALL should come to repentance.”
Peter here tells us that God wants ALL men to come to salvation.
John 3:16 declares, “For God so loved the WORLD, that he gave his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John here tells us that God loved the WORLD, and WHOSOEVER will may come to be saved.
If predestination to hell and heaven is true, then let any Biblical scholar try to reconcile that heresy with what Titus 2:11 declares,
“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to ALL men”
They CANNOT.
So let us search the Scriptures more diligently to discover the meaning of this passage.
Now, God knows those who will trust Him for salvation, and the moment you do, He saves you.
Now, observe John 6:44, which says,
“No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me DRAW him: and I will raise him up at the last day.”
We see here that God the Father draws men to Christ, but how does He draw them?
Observe John 12:32-33 which says,
“And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will DRAW all [men] unto me.
This he said, signifying what death he should die.”
The term “lifted up” in view of the context seems to be that Christ was alluding to His crucifiction.
So here we learn that God “draws” all men through the “Cross of Christ”, i.e., the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.
In other words, we are called by the Word of God which of the death, burial, resurrrection, and ascension of our LORD.
Now, Paul says that we are justified by faith,
“Therefore being justified by FAITH, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:” (Rom 5:1)
But where does this faith come from?
Romans 10:17 gives us the answer,
“So then FAITH [cometh] by HEARING, and HEARING by the WORD OF GOD.”
What shall we thus conclude?
Our FAITH comes by hearing, and hearing by the WORD OF GOD, the same WORD OF GOD, which testifies of the Cross of Christ, is by what we are drawn (Jn 12:32).
Re-shifting our focus back to John 6:44, we also discover that we are totally depraved, cold, and dead in sin, that if God simply left us alone we would not want to come to Jesus, thus we must be DRAWN.
Now the blessed Father in heaven, wants every sinner to become His child, thus He draws men to Jesus, but who does He draw a few? NO. He draws all men to Christ BUT, He DOESN’T GIVE all men to Christ. So who does He give to Christ then?
God the Father, gives to God the Son, all men who DO NOT RESIST THE CALL OF GOD, who YIELD to the conviction of the blessed Spirit of God.
Remember that if you are unsaved, the Holy Spirit will be dealing with you, striving with you, warning you and convicting you, and that is what it means for God to draw you to Christ Jesus the LORD in fulfillment of John 16:8 which says,
“And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:”
So here we discover that there can be no conversion without the conviction, and there can be no conviction without the blessed Spirit of God using the Word of God, by which we are “DRAWN” unto Christ, for that Word testifies of the Son of God, and the redemption we have through His BLOOD (Eph 1:7; 1 Pet 18-19; Heb 9:12; 9:14; 9:22; 10:19; Rom 3:25; Rom 5:9).
“…and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.”
Now we have the sweetest, most delightful part of this verse, which also demonstrates the preciousness of the Beloved, i.e., Almighty God.
Now, God said what He meant and meant what He said, “him that cometh to Me I will in NO WISE cast out.”
Does your frail, poor, sinning, tired heart want to come to Christ for salvation? May I say unto you my friend, Christ wants to save you.
You don’t have to worry, remember, “him that cometh to Me I will in NO WISE cast out,” if you want to be saved my friend, you can be saved, God wants to save you, He won’t reject you, all that He asks is that you have “COME” to the Son and you shall in no wise, in NO WISE, IN ABSOLUTELY NO WISE be cast out.
What does it mean to “COME”? To “COME” is to “DEPEND”, “TRUST”, “RELY UPON” the LORD Jesus Christ, that is what it means to come to Him my friend.
Just trust and rely upon Jesus Christ to forgive you and save you because of the blood which He shed for YOU.
You will not only be GLADLY welcomed into the family of God, BUT you also WILL NOT, SHALL NOT, and CANNOT, in any wise, be cast out of the family of God. Once you are in, you are always in.
Look at the prodigal’s son, was he a son at home? Yes he was.
Was he a son in the far country? Yes he was.
Was he a son in the pig pen? Yes he was.
The prodigal’s son, was always a son my friend, he didn’t stay in the pig pen because he didn’t belong in the pig pen.
Only pigs love pig pens my friend, if a son is in the pig pen, he’s NOT going to love it down there, he’s going to HATE it, only pig’s love pig pens, a son doesn’t belong in a pig pen, a son belongs with his father.
How much more then, shall you ALWAYS be a son of God, once you’ve been born again my friend?
Whether you walk in darkness, or in the light of God’s Word, and you’re His son, then you’ll ALWAYS be His. A son is ALWAYS a son. A son is NOT a pig, but a son.
I’d recommend though that you walk in the light, the prodigal’s son received a huge whooping in the far country and in the pig pen, you will too if you walk away from God, but if you’ve trusted Christ to save you, then you’ll always be His.
A son is always a son.
Trust Him now, if you’ve never done so before, you won’t regret it, I promise.

Monsieur Tiuche (Post #10): I said thank you to Scott Dale for sharing his view.
The Parable of the Talents is about producing Divine good during the Tribulation. Only a believer can produce Divine good, although in different amounts. Unbelievers cannot produce ANY amount of Divine good.
The first two believers who produced Divine good were put in charge over many things as their reward. This is a reference to ruling with Jesus Christ during the Millennium. Both exercised “best efforts” with the talents Jesus gave them. So, both get to rule as servant-kings during the Millennium and eternal state.
But, the unbeliever, Jesus called “evil,” “lazy,” and “worthless.” He was thrown into “outer darkness,” a description of Hell. Hell is pitch-black. Jesus made it clear the third person in the parable was cast into a place “where there will be” (future tense) weeping and gnashing of teeth (further description of Hell). If this person was a believer he would not have been cast into Hell.
