“… [will ye] serve … the gods of [those] in whose land you dwell…?” Where do you live? Which gods do the people of your land serve? I live in America, and it seems that most dwelling in this land serve Ba’al or some such god. Just turn on the TV. Glee? Lady Gaga? My family has chosen to serve the one true God.

This verse is a challenge to choose today, not tomorrow or any other day. If anyone, thinks it would be a bad idea, or not in their best interests, to serve the LORD, then let them pick another God today! The author even suggests a few gods to pick from (sanctified sarcasm).

Asleigh, Google “Lessons for children on Joshua 24:15.” There are quite a few lessons available online. Check them out and piece together what makes sense for the children at your church. You may have to piece information from various multiple online lessons. Teaching children is an art form. Some of the most gifted communicators of God’s Word are teachers of children.

I would love to simplify and explain this verse to children at church. Please help me make it concrete and relevant to little ones.
Thanks
