HALLOWEEN-pagan feast & SARCASM FROM A MEMBER OF THE CHURCH OF GOD
November 1, 2011 All Saints Day, but here in the Philippines (the only Christian Nation in Asia)-they have come to call it FIESTA MINATAY. It literally means the Feasts of the Dead sort of like they mixed All Saints Day (November 1) with All souls Day (November 2).
And today is my birthday but i don’t celebrate my birthday nor All Saints Day nor HALLOWEEN!
And just this afternoon at about 1:00 PM i was trying to catch a jeep so I can go downtown when I met member of a Christian Church. The fellow knows me well and my family, and he knew I was not rich. He knew that if it was not for one of their members who was a “good Samaritan” my family and I would have been squatters by now; with me still probably blind and w/o a job. He knew too that while my family was with them every Sabbath Day fellowshipping with them, I was sort of a “rebel”; for I do not follow what they think is right nor do I follow the majority (majority of the sheeps or the majority of the goats). I was an unconventional believer following my own conscience and how I understand the Word of God.
And the fellow with a superior air and sarcasm said to me: SO YOUR CELEBRATING HALLOWEEN HMMMP? What was he thinking? Why did he act that way? If I would have confronted him right there, he would have probably denied his ill will!
What am driving with this story is that despite the right doctrine taught to us, and even if we are doing the command of God not to celebrate pagan feasts w/c masquerades as Christian feasts; but our attitude and thinking is not saturated by the Word of God-WE WILL BE JUDGMENTAL AND WITH AN ILL WILL TOWARDS FELLOW BELIEVERS AND UNBELIEVERS! The Holy Scriptures tells us to make Love our greatest quest (1 Corinthian 14:1) and whatever we do and even when we speak, the scriptures tells us that we should be…” speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ”(Ephesian 4:15).
The Antichrist had manage to change the times and the Laws, he manage to almost erase the Seven(7) Feasts of God’s Kingdom almost totally covering them with man made feasts like Halloween, Christmas, Easter, Valentine Day…deceiving the people and even the believers like pilgrims w/o a map for the True Feasts of God are His Map toward the future! With the whole world deceived and under the power of the wicked one—those who searched for God and His will had a hard time finding THAT MAP & UNDERSTANDING IT!
