Read this Bible Passage in its Context Ye said also, Behold, what a weariness is it! and ye have snuffed at it, saith the LORD of hosts; and ye brought that which was torn, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye brought an offering: should I accept this of your hand? saith the LORD.

Some suggest that “torn” means they were bringing offerings which had been stolen or obtained through less than virtuous means. But seeing the context mentions “the lame, and the sick” it’s more likely the writer was referring to the condition of the sacrifice rather than how it was acquired. In other words, they were bringing God their scraps. It’s kind of like giving your girlfriend flowers that you picked up on your way past the cemetery. lol
The Israelites weren’t supposed to eat anything that was “torn of beasts” (Ex 22:31) I’m assuming they weren’t supposed to offer it either.

Most of the preachers specially pentecostals preaching that Malachi book is written only to give message regrading tithes. A pastor said that every one should give tithes, but in my opinion it is written specially for the leaders of church and secondly to the people. please reply at my e.mail.
