One Bible Commentary on Mark 1: 43

1

1)Matthew concentrates on the teachings of Jesus & Mark on the miracles of Jesus.Matthew records this incident more briefly than mark.We find in Matthew 4 verses ,Mark 6 verses & Luke 4 verses in the descriptions of this incident.
2)Lepers were considered as unclean & untouchable by the Jews.Jesus could have healed him without touching. In this miracle,to make the leper clean Jesus touched him.”Who his own self bare our sins on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness.”1 Pet.2:25.
3)Mark 1:43.(Amp)And Jesus charged him sternly (sharply & threateningly, and with earnest admonition)& acting with deep feeling thrust him forth and)sent him away at once.
Jesus did not detain him but sent him away immediately with two strict instructions to follow.
4)We have to follow whatever instructions God gives to us.We must not use our own ideas over God’s guidelines & instructions which will have some definite purpose.Disobedience to God’s instructions will lead to bad consequences.
