One Bible Commentary on Mark 10: 46

1

Good day

To me this scripture talks about this man who was blind. The Zulu Bible describes him as a person who had all nice clothes, well dressed up.To me these are the earthly possessions But there was one thing he did not have, he could not see.Because he could not see I think he got confirmation from the earthly people who could see. This means that one can be doing all the earthly things (totally in contrast with the Word. This is walking in the flesh and not in the spirit). People of the world will always elevate you when do things of the world. Not seeing means that this man was made blind by the bling-blings of this world.
When he had that Jesus (salavation) was around, he did not want to be left behind. He stood his ground on his own. He totally disregarded the people of the world. When they tried to shut him down that was when he shouted more. When Jesus could not hear him, he did not lose hope. This is what needs to happen when we pray. When we think our prayers are not answered because God does not hear us, that is when we need to pray more.
The significant here is that when Jesus, after hearing him stopped and he called him, he took out his clothes. This means he left all things that were treasures to him. The Bible says we need to die (in the flash) so that we can gain long life (live in the Spirit).
Because of the grace of God, Jesus made him to see
