1. SIMON, the Canaanite, better written ‘Cananaean’
a. Called a Zealot a real stickler for the Law (Luke 6:15)
b. Also hated all foreign occupation and domination
2. JUDAS Iscariot, the betrayer of our Lord
a. Hometown of Kerioth, in southern Judah (Josh. 15:25)
b. Was the treasurer and a thief (John 12:6, 13:29)
c. Betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver (Matt 26:14-16)
d. Was remorseful but not repentant (Matt 27:3)
e. Hanged himself (Matt 27:5)
f. Rope or limb broke, fell perhaps down a cliff and his guts ripped open (Acts 1:18)
