1. Good planning is NOT always condemned
a. For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has [enough] to finish [it]– lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see [it] begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’ (Luke 14:28-30)
2. But the problem with TOO MUCH planning
a. Is that you may never STOP planning
b. And actually get into ministry
3. This training by Jesus
a. Was to be a big ‘Trust Me card’
b. For His 12 followers
4. This was NOT a 5-year planning session
a. To make sure all their ducks
b. Were in a row FIRST
c. Before they went on their mission
5. They were NOT to rely
a. On their OWN devices
b. To provide for themselves
6. But they were to trust the Lord completely
a. To open the hearts and doors
b. Of others to provide
c. For their physical needs
7. The disciples were to concentrate on the message
a. And NOT on their earthly needs
8. I think we today can learn a lot from this
a. That God qualifies and empowers the called
9. If you feel you need advanced biblical training
a. Then by all means get it
10. But do NOT let the lack of it
a. Delay you from responding to His call
b. On your life to minister
c. Especially if God
d. Has told you to ‘GO NOW’
