1)Mark tells that “And Jesus moved with compassion, put forth his hand” Mark 1:41.Please refer my commentary for Mark 1:41.
2)It can be noticed that that Matthew & Mark used the expression”compassion”
of Jesus Christ in their Gospels on few occasions.
3)Let us see in Luke’s Gospel. Read the story of the resurrection of a widow’s son by Jesus Christ in Nain by Jesus Christ narrated in Luke 7:11-15.Jesus saw the body of the dead man being carried out for burial. The dead man was the son of a widow.Much people of the city was with her. When Jesus saw her,she had “compassion” on her & said unto her “Weep not.”Read Luke 7:13
4)Let us see an illustration in John’s Gospel to look for similar expressions.Read John 11:20-36.It is part of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping,
which came with her,”he groaned with the spirit & was troubled.”John 11:33″.Then said the Jews,Behold, how he “loved” him.Jesus wept.”John 11:35.
5)Jesus is merciful & sympathetic. He knows our weaknesses & infirmities.he is having concern for us.Read Heb.2:17;4:15.he is able to help us.
6)Jesus Christ gave himself as ransom for all.1 Tim 2:6.The son of man came not to be ministered but to minister, and to give his life as ransom for many.Matt.20:28;Mark 10:45.Read Heb.9:12.
7)Jesus sees the physical & spiritual conditions of the people all over the world & is having compassion. He wants all the people to be saved.Read Acts 17:30;1 Tim.2:4.the followers of Jesus Christ have to pray with passion & concern for the salvation of the people who live in their sins.1 Tim.2:1.
There are still millions of the people who are untold are perishing because of the lack of knowledge of the Gospel of salvation.
