Why God told Moses they should stone the man who was gathering sticks on the sabbath? Jesus said the life of a man is thousands times worthy than the Sabbath!

Celeste (Post #1): The man acted defiantly, deliberately disobeying God’s Sabbath Law on purpose (v.31). Moses and Aaron took the man into protection because they were not certain he should receive the death penalty (v.34). But, God saw inside the man’s soul and told Moses to stone him (v.35). God judged the man rightly.
