One Bible Commentary on Philippians 1: 12

1

The question is how does one respond when life takes you where you don’t want to go and keeps you where you don’t want to stay. Paul is in chains v.13. Yet he does not dwell on this fact. Instead his focus is on the Gospel of Christ.

Let us not grow tired of this wonderful truth that the Gospel can make people both whole and holy.

For Paul this truth was of greater importance than his present circumstances. The larger question is the Gospel and God’s purpose of greater importance than my own circumstances?
